Apple iPad Air (2025) M3 11" Wi-Fi 128GB $798.99 Delivered (Direct Import) @ TechintheBasket (Price Beat $759.04 @ Officeworks)

460

Came across this online today and was able to successfully price match at Officeworks today and got them to beat it by a further 5% for a final price of $759.04.

Your luck may vary, as TechintheBasket's about us section states that all their products are international versions, however, the specific product page makes no mention of it, and the staff serving me at Officeworks didn't question it much.

  • It depends on the person.

    • 128 isn't enough i am happy with my 1tb version

  • Officeworks go out of their way not to pricebeat local resellers, let alone a business based out of HK…

28 Connaught Road West Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

"hence we open and inspect products prior to dispatching to ensure the condition of them."

    So essentially selling 2nd-hand goods??

    • Just sharing what worked for me. All it takes for someone unexperienced to look at the .com.au web address and go for it.

      • Then by all means post a copy of your receipt….

          • @scovid: Congrats & tanks for posting the receipt.

  • @scovid post receipt or theres no deal here

  • Based in Hong Kong. No go

    • Add to that having a .com.au domain with no displayed ABN, the website logo just labelled as "FASTEST" and no phone number on their contact page…

  • Even with a screenshot of the receipt, will Officeworks price match that? I'd like to hear from people that have managed to get a price match with a receipt.

  • Can someone try a price match on the 256GB model?

  • Great price if you can get it. I got mine when they released and the only reason I got it cheaper was stacking of multiple offers. It’s the OB way.

  • Receipt shows $769.04 inclusive of GST

    • Looks like OP made a $10 donation.

  • I think Microsoft Windows iPad is getting really good. I still like the file explorer better in windows and also the minimise maximise buttons are a lot better on windows iPad.

    • Feel like I can reasonably field this one, personally owning this M3 iPad Air, while also having a Surface Pro 11 5G for work. The Surface is definitely the more powerful device, and having had a few generations now, you can see the little improvements with each generation - particularly battery life. But the Surface (or perhaps Windows 11) still has some weird glitches. Standby battery life isn't as good as the iPad, every now and again the camera simply refuses to work, and I have to reboot more often than I think I should have to because Teams or Excel is running like a dog. I should also mention that the Surface, while purchased by my employer, is running pretty much vanilla windows - there's no weird security processes or VPN running in the background. On the other hand, the iPad is less powerful overall, but really is a "pick up and go" device, you don't have to think about it. Apple are finally taking multitasking on iPads seriously with iPadOS 26, making it an exponentially more useful device. Think it still all depends on your use case really!

    • The way iPad deals with file management is infuriating!

  • Tried a price beat this morning, but Officeworks staff declined, saying the Techinthebasket product must have a matching ‘part number.’

  • Massive thanks to OP for posting. Grabbed 2 from my local OW. Kids Xmas presents are sorted. Had planned on buying them the base model but this was too good to pass up. Thanks.

  • Thumbs up to OP for putting some savings to good use with $10 donation (ref Officeworks receipt).

  • just tired with OW, they said the parts number does not match, so they can’t price match with this

  • Can we use OP’s receipt to price match?

  • Went to OW today but was declined because the business address shown on the website is in Hong Kong.

    • same experience with Officeworks in Glen Waverley Victoria

      • I went yesterday around 7pm and was able to price match @Glen Waverley - got lucky worth a shot again
