Tried to get Officeworks to do their Price Beat Guarantee on a Good Guys price that came up through their online price check (where they drop it if a competitor is cheaper). The lower price was available for anyone to buy, but staff told me they wouldn’t honour it.
Has anyone actually had success getting Officeworks to price beat on top of a Good Guys price check? Or do they always refuse?

Good Guys price beat is supposed to be the same price as the competitor, so if you can find out which competitor has the price you are seeing via GG, officeworks should accept that
I can confirm that neither in-store nor over the phone did Officeworks honour their Price Beat Guarantee. They told me they won’t beat The Good Guys’ Price Check function, claiming it counts as a “cashback or coupon offer” and is therefore excluded.
I honestly don’t understand how they can make that claim - it’s just the normal price anyone sees and can buy at. Feels like a joke.
End result: The Good Guys will basically always be cheaper than Officeworks.
Never can understand why people want to give companies with higher prices the business….
