Aldi dishwashing tablets are better and cheaper

    • I find that Aldi’s Logix All in One tablets are so often out of stock that the local store has removed its spot on the shelf. When you can find them, they are 14c each and very good.

      Oos almost everywhere

    • lemon flavoured, no thanks

    • The big w product is the smaller 'more efficient' tablet (which I believe has a lot of negative reviews compared to the older full size tablet).

Quite a while back, someone posted a comment to a DW tablets deal that included a link to a YT video all about dishwashers and how they operate. It was quirky and comical but the message was that standard powder actually works fine, when the pre-wash dispenser that pretty much every dishwasher manufacturer includes on their models is used, along with the main dispenser.

Ever since then, I have used this stuff from BigW - https://www.bigw.com.au/product/shine-dishwash-powder-concen… for $10.80 along with the Shine Rinse Aid (as I always did even with the tablets I used to use that had Rinse Aid included).

The dishwasher has never missed a beat, cleans exceptionally well and for a fraction of the price……without the need for little plastic pockets of stuff.

The whole thing is worth a watch but if time poor or just better things to do, then 10m35 seconds is a good start, 11m47 onwards is a good place to look too.

Of course, if you like the little sachets then all good, it's all about choice at the end of the day.

    • The plastic packaging that doesn't dissolve is so much extra unnecessary landfill trash. The one that does also may not fully dissolve and clog parts up and if it does fully dissolve can't be good for our water

Once my fairy supply runs out I'll be swapping to powder
