I've done this multiple times with no issues receiving the gift cards. Not sure what might have caused yours not to track.

      • +1

When do they issue the gift cards again? This was for the 11/06/25 Econnex deal.

        • +1

Should be very soon. I have just received cards for the 29/05 deal

    • Have also received several gift cards from this mob

  • +3

    great. time to switch

  • Cheers will take a look

  • +2

$200 for electricity is back! yay :) good timing

  • +1

Perfect timing, Cashrewards approved the pending reward last week! Switching over now.

Just noticed, the confirmation page shows a 404 after signup, got the reference number via email though…

    • I was gonna ask about this. Do you still get the cashback with this deal? Wasn’t there a 6-month cashrewards cooldown with Econnex? Or does it die with cashrewards? I still have account credit with the current provider, don’t need to move just yet.

      • Cashrewards has paid out - Technically - although I haven't seen the cash in my account yet. so yeah free to move on…

        • Yes, I have received the pay out as well. Just not sure if I can get this one too because of the cooldown.

    • Same for me. Obviously will hold the signup email just in case.

Seem very expensive for NSW. Currently with Origin
    - Daily Supply : 78.25 c/day
    - General usage: 32.538 c/kWh
    - Solar feed-in: 3 c/kWh ( which is disgusting )

Any recommendation for new provider ?

    • I am also in the same plan (Origin, retention offer) and have a credit balance with them. Rates from other retailers are very pricey.

    • +2

Wowsers. Qld daily supply is $1.29+ per day and 30c+ per kWh.!!

  • +1

Am I still eligible if I used Econnex Comparison @ Cashrewards for Red energy last time?

The cashback in CR shows red energy tho.

    • Pulled the trigger and wait for the result in half a year I guess… Found OVO in better rate anyway so made the switch.

  • -1

I’m still waiting for my gift card from last transfer. I haven’t heard anything after 45 days yet

    • +1

You need to read the T&Cs more carefully. So far cards for transfers in May have been sent.

  • -1

Not happy :( ,used Shopback offer ($100) last night via Econnex to transfer to Lumo. Feel like cancelling and resubmitting through this offer but it could all go pear shaped.

    • +1

You can totally do it. There’s a 10-day cooling off period.

      • Yeah thanks, it's more about the timing and the mixups that might occur cancelling and then re-submitting. I've contacted Econnex to see if they will come to the party and make the offer. Only missed out by a couple of hours.

  • +1

If you've stayed 45+ days with a provider (in this case, Red Energy) after signing up but have never received a bill yet (as meter is a non-smart one and I assume they bill quarterly), can you still leave to another provider and still be eligible for the Digital Prepaid Mastercard?

    • I think that should be fine

  • +4

Powershop missing for me….the $200 credit from powershop in addition to this $200 is the only way these rates make sense as everything is so outrageous in my area

also looks like Powershop have dropped the signup on their website to $100 for electricity…

    • +3

      Engie now offers $125

  • rates look very inflated here for some reason, not sure it's worth the hassle/wait for $200 back.
In melb my rates with Lumo are currently:
    91c/day supply charge
29c/kwh peak (just over a quarter of my usage)
    18c/kwh off-peak (almost 3/4 of my usage)

Looking through the offers, daily rates are up near $1.20/day, peak rates are 30c+, usually 37c, and off-peak are low 20s…

    • I have the same rates with lumo but it's coming to an end 30 September, new best rate I could find on Vic energy compare site seems to be lumo again at what you mentioned (with no guaranteed rates, the guaranteed rate offer to September 2026 expired end of last month).

      • ah right, so looks like it's best for us to stay put for another year!

        • I'm switching to OVO "The One Plan" for the $200 gift card:

          Supply Charge: 113.3c/day
          Peak Usage: 30.723c/kWh

  • +2

Engie has $250 welcome credit - guess I’lll be excluded if iv received $100 has credit recently

    • Sign up using another family members details?

      • Have you done that before

Might try that - would there be a new connection fee?

Same surname and same address might make it tricky

        • +1

hmmm, I think it should be fine, but not the same surname

  • With the Engie credit and discount, does the My NRMA membership account have to have the same name as the person who signs up? Or can it just be a valid membership number?

  • Does changing gas incur a meter reading fee? In VIC and have a non-smart meter

  • +1

Nice to see $200 is back, can’t change retailer though until my home battery is installed

  • Does that electricity & gas need to be different companies or is that okay for the same company?

    • Couldn't see anywhere saying it needs to be different, nor seperate applications. I did elec and gas to the same provider in one switch, so surely that counts.

  • +2

Moved from Powershop to Engie for elec today. $30 cost for last 2 months with Powershop using their Welcome credit. $150 on top of that from Econnex from previous deal. Churn & burn.

  • +1

thanks op, signed up for RED energy

  • Is there an exclusion period, if you got the last round of econnex $300 gift cards from May promo can you get this one too?

    • nope

  • Is there a waiting period needed between switches, I just did it about 6 months ago

    • You only need to honor the timeframe stated in the deal. For example this one is 45 days. After that you're good to go again.

  • +1

Moving from Powershop to Engie makes sense for electricity. Is there any upfront credit for gas connections anyone can see in VIC.

    • I have bought future power packs on Powershop, will they refund if i change?

      • In similar boat and spent some time today to understand this. In sort, go through account activity and confirm if these Powerpacks were purchased using 'Promotional Credit of $200' or not. Assuming they were, then very likely you won't get that money back. In my case, to muddy the water $75 government assistance was also added, in the end i managed to double check all my 'Promotional Credit of $200' was used in 1st bill, so expecting refund on whatever i have left over….

        • I am in the same boat as you, got the $200 but also the $75 government rebate. But I also read on their website they only refund power packs if you leave within 60 days, I have been with them for 3 months now. See here for the 60 calendar day thing https://www.powershop.com.au/refunds.

Also I purchased 4x power packs for next two months using my credit card, hopefully they have to refund those and any remaining government rebate.

  • How does the NBN through Econnex work when it's provided by Superloop? Does the 1 month cancellation superloop notice apply to the plans purchase via Econnex?

    • View details link says:

      "Billing
Nbn Service(s) are charged for the full month in-advance and are non-refundable (Superloop does not offer pro-rata)"

  • +1

Perfect $250 from engie and $200 from econnex, great deal

    • +3

only $125 from Engie in VIC

  • Does anyone know if this stacks with Topcashback?

    • +1

Cant stack. Topcashback have to follow their link. This deal has a unique link

  • Can anyone suggest me which one i should go for ?
Because of my bad credit history, i am struck with origin Australia which is super expensive.

Any idea which one cheaper options i have ? ( Without credit checks hopefully)

    • Anyone knows?

  • Shame they took Origin off their gas suppliers, about to jump ship from AGL anyway

  • It is time to look again…
But serious question, are people getting genuine deals through Econnex?
Last time I went to go through them and all their plan rates were higher than what I could get just going through the retailers direct.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Signed up for both Electricity and Gas. Calendar is overworking to set up all these reminders….lol

  • +1

Still haven't received my gift cards from the February deal. I've reached out to Manyo 3 times already.

    • Should not be that long. I already got my GC from end of May promotion

      • +1

Yeah I have no idea what's happening. Each time I asked Manyo they just said the support team is looking into it and will reach out to me.

  • +2

    T&C says
you "MAY" receive.. MAY OR MAY NOT?

  • +4

Sweet got my giftcards from the May offer recently. Switched electricity but says I don't have NBN (lol) for the internet one.

    • having the same issue with the internet part

  • +1

The plans have always been higher on these comparison websites than retailers offer.

  • Do I need to cancel or provide notice to my existing provider? Or will the transfer over just cut my existing one?

    • Check your existing contract to see if you need to provide a notice.

  • +1

Anyone that is switching away from Powershop, if you have bought advance power packs for next month and switch away to another provider, will they refund these?

    • it gets reconciled as part of your final bill

  • typical, i switched last week when no offers around… now you all get to benefit, you're welcome

  • Can we schedule for later connection and if so how do we do it? The only option that I could find to change the date is under ‘are you moving’ but there doesn’t seem to be an option to choose a later date for switching provider in the same address.

  • Says nbn not available at my address as I'm posting this with nbn.

  • Did anyone just get an sms from them? I just got one saying "DELIVERY! Your eGift Card from Karta has been issued. If it's not in your inbox, check your Spam/Junk folder."

However, I received nothing. I was hoping this would be from the June deal.

    • It is for the May batch. They usually send the SMS a few days after the email. You should have already received the email.

      • Yeah I got that a week ago. It's weird they would send out an SMS a week later especially for people that don't know to check their spam folder, and could accidentally delete it.

  • Nothing good for WA, terrible has rates on offer.

    • NBN cashback works fine for me here in WA - 3 or 4 times now; not worth staying past 45 days, of course. I do usually stay a day or two extra.

      • My bad typo, should say gas rates

  • Anyone notice if the Engie EV Flex is on offer?

Nsw might be better with the NRMA offer ($250), Vic $125 and SA, WA, QLD $0
(Except for $100 chargefox voucher if going with ev Flex).

  • Information about NRMA and ENGIE perk for Vic residents is little confusing to me. Is the offer $125 or $250 ? Is the offer for either electricity or gas or both Electricity + gas ?

  • Do you actually get sent anything to confirm you signed up for the promo through Ecconex or just hope and pray it comes through in 45+ days? When exactly do they send out the gift card and how?

    • Gift card required installing phone app to claim most recently for me. I got in August for sign up in April.
