40

Been looking for a while, this is 47% off $1900 rrp. Seems to be mid tier between Aldi/Kmart machines and expensive oak setups. There's a $20 credit per $100 spent promo at the moment too. Stock reasonable at time of posting

I was originally looking at this one along with Kmart, Aldi and Kogan (Fortis brand).
Ended up buying the Fortis branded one from Kogan for about $300.

Aldi and Kmart looks basic and uses elastic tension instead of springs. Just had a hunch these might lose it's elasticity over time.
The Kogan ones are basically the same as the Kmart/Aldi ones but with actual springs for tension.

This Rebel one looks and feels nice, but for $1000, it doess't even come with legs to raise the reformer. It basically sits on the ground unless you buy the optional legs.

    • I ordered the Kogan one previously but their shipping took way longer than advertised so I cancelled. Definitely bang for buck but the legs looked flimsy so I was worried I might tip it over somehow. Celsius seems decently heavier, even without the legs at 47kg

I agree the legs are a bit flimsy. When I have 2 heavy + 2 light springs loaded up, depending on the exercise, I can feel the middle bending (due to the foldable design). So I've just chopped a bit of 2x4 planks and made a middle leg.

        • Had the same thought about wangling something to make it more sturdy. Nice one

        • Just quick question, how tall are you and what would you say is the height limit for this reformer? Everyone notes the Kmart one is only good for up to 170cm or so, is the Kogan one any bigger?

          • @ATangk: I’m tall at 188cm. A squish sometimes but you can move the footbar and shoulder pads to create more room.

            No complaints at 188cm.

    • As a heads up, the springs will lose tension as well, granted that pending quality it will likely take longer. Just mentioning it so you keep an eye out

      • Ah yeah just not as quickly as elastic. I just make sure to unhook and release the springs after every workout.
