  • Wuben AU store also has the same price but min shipping is 89AUD.

This form factor makes it look more like an electric lighter than an actual lighter O_O

I got one of these a few weeks back from the Wuben AliExpress store for about the same price. It's a good, handy little light. But getting your head around the button sequences for the various functions takes some time.

    • Same and even the instructions are not clear but i do like the design.

  • Neat flashlight, but am I reading something wrong or is this just the normal price from August? https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0F267FR4B

    • Wuben (and other brands) has standard 'special' pricing for their products.

Thanks, grabbed 2 and Amazon gave me a $10 credit for the purchase. 2 for $52 with free delivery, decent deal!

Got some Wuben C3 flashlights previously and they were crap! Batteries included no longer hold a charge, and the built-in charger in the flashlight doesn't recharge the batteries either.

    • +6

For what it's worth, the Wuben C3 uses a standard 18650 Lithium Battery so shouldn't be too hard to replace.

    • +2

Are you trying to recharge it with a multi-voltage USB charger? I have a Wuben light that only charges with a 5v USB charger. (A lot of cheaper USB rechargeable products don't have the necessary electronics to negotiate voltage so the charger just ignores them/doesn't know it is connected). I keep a couple of old 5v only USB chargers around for this type of thing.

      • This. I connected Sofirn to a high speed charger, and it never fully charged after 4-5 hours. It only works with an old 5v charger.

    • +3

The general rule of thumb with torches using 18650/21700 and similar is to swap them out, as they're often the area where the manufacturer will cheap out.

I've had a C3 for a few years. Still on the original battery. Never had a problem charging it.

Rather than negging, reach out to Wuben to see what they can do.

    • +3

Weird I have the c3 and no issues so far.

    • +4

I'm using a Wuben C3 - zero issues. I prefer the Sofirn's but the Wuben hasn't given me any problems.

    • I have a C3 and an H1 (very similar headlamp version with 18650) from June 2023.

The C3 is going strong and the H1 works well but seem to be experiencing parasitic draw when it's switched off. I gets weekly use and I have swapped the wuben batteries between the two. I charge with a Liitokala.

I don't think it's the batteries, because it happens to both of them, but only in the H1. If they're in the C3 they're fine. Any guesses why the H1 is suddenly draining them? Never used to.

For anyone planning to buy the dimming although driven via a wheel, is not seamless and had obvious steps in brightness, not a bad little light but not as good as i was expecting for the price

Coloured lights are a bit of a gimmick imo and the on off switching slide leaves the usb c port fully exposed while the light is unlocked and able to be turned on and off using the button.

Thanks 👍 the video I saw showed it as seamless interaction. Probably v2 will fix these

Picked up the new X4. I already have the X2 that I use as my bike light, I'm hoping the X4 will be a good replacement for that. Soon as I saw the removable battery, had to get it. X4 will be my fourth Wuben product, great brand imo.

    • Will take a look at x4, do you have a pair of just one ?

      • +1

nah just bought one today. Amanzon has a deal on it atm, 20% off, so it could be an ozb post on its own

  • Picked this up the flashing red and blue is a bit naughty haha looks like a great little torch

  • Any difference between this one and the Emesak branded one? They look identical.
