They must be aggressively trying to recroup the loss in the lawsuit

With the rise in the cost of living, spending $5000 in six months doesn’t seem that hard.

The worst application process I have ever endured. Would avoud if at all possible.

    • What was the issue? I try supply everything when i first apply to avoid them requesting documents. Haven't had an issue being approved quick this way although i haven't been with ANZ yet.

      Agreed.

Conditional approved instantly. Provided all requested docs (proof of income etc.) same day as approval received.

Didn’t hear anything for over a week, so decided to follow up. Got a call going through EVERY single field I provided in the application form, asking if they are correct. Following this 15 minute call, I got told I’ll need to provide yer another document, as the 6 I already provided wasn’t sufficient. Fast forward another 5 days, and I got my application declined with no reasoning provided.

Later that week applied for NAB - fully approved and card added to Apple Pay within 3 days of applying.

Don’t think I’ll ever bother with ANZ again. Have had credit cards with almost every bank in Australia, and ANZ was the worst experience I’ve ever had by far.

    • I applied on Sunday, didn't take too long, got an email on Monday asking for payslips which I sent, got an email today advising that I was approved for the amount I applied for. Quite an easy process for me.

    ANZ, pass

  • These low rate cards used to be ~20% return, now can't even make back 10% makes it pretty poor value.

  • Does anyone know if there’s a minimum wait period for new customers? Wasn’t able to find in the t&cs.

I was a long term ANZ customer, but cancelled everything this year. Customer service is now terrible

    • Their new CEO is a huge wrecking ball right now, good thing you've moved away

  • Am I eligible for the bonus if I currently hold another ANZ credit card?

  • Lowball offer.

  • Im not the biggest fan of cba but, cba low rate cash back is way better.
My personal experience with ANZ: avoid this bank. They'll make you visit their bank every week. Any form of digital support is useless, unresponsive and unreliable.

  • Has anyone received the $400 cashback?

Agree, the credit verification process was terrible!

  • Anyone with this card can share how long it took the cashback to be paid? I have nab's equivalent and am into the 4th month waiting (met the spend criteria in 3rd month).
