Performance issues? Learn to program, people!

      • +14

There’s definitely performance issues across all platforms, PC is just worse.

        • +6

And the devs will abuse anyone who states otherwise.

Should be boycotted & review bombed accordingly.

@chadleyshe: haha, the old Twitter algorithm decided to throw a couple Randy tweets my way this morning, I didn't know who he was so looked it up and my lawd. What a condescending (profanity)!

          • +1

            @chadleyshe: *dev

Just Randy. He’s not doing his team any favours on Twitter

            • -2

@FireRunner: Yes he is? He's standing up for his team while everyone else is staying silent at unwarranted criticism.

              • @Nillionaire: Even if we assume he’s correct and the game is decently optimised, his responses have been needlessly combative and dismissive to his own fan base. This has brought nothing but negative press to the game and company. So no, I don’t think he’s doing his team any favours in any case

          • -1

@chadleyshe: Go ahead, it's still a best seller and well received critically. You're simply not the intended target audience, keep up your worthless campaign.

          • @chadleyshe: Devs have not been abusive, let's not spread misinformation… Not even Randy Pitchford (CEO, known (profanity)) is abusing anybody.

xbox and playstation users dont understand perfomance

        • I have everything so i plan to buy a PC edition only when they fix the game on PC. But i got the copy because there is splitscreen on console and offline support of course. 👍

        • +1

They gonna love gta 6 at 30fps

      • PC does not have any performance issues either. Only non-current-gen non-high end PCs do. That's the equivalent of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users complaining they have performance issues if they had the game. The game is intended for the latest generation highest end models of every platform, hence why it only released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2. Unfortunately it's not possible to restrict to the intended PC audience so others are downloading it and feeling entitled to run the game smoothly.

$90 for lazy unoptimized games is huge pass for me

    • This is why I never buy games on release. Even AAA titles. They're not worth the asking price.

      • Especially AAA games. It’s sad an unoptimised mess at launch is the norm

Just make sure you're a premium gamer with premium hardware to play 😎😎

    • Thats why its Xbox and Playstation.

    • Just bought 4 5090s to SLI them together. Apparently NVIDIA doesn't support it any more or something but I bought some wires to wrap the cards together so joke's on them, I got 16x framegen

      • Oh hell yeah just solder that shit straight onto the chip, will work fine im sure.

  • "or just don't play it" is the advice given to me by the head of the dev studio. Cheers will do(n't).

This is a good price though. I will never pay over $90 for a video game.

    just remember, people preordered this.

    hahahahahahahahahahaha

and none of them regret it

      hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Just look at past Borderlands games and the prices they dropped to after a little while. It's just Borderlands so you know exactly what you're missing and have a bunch of others to play in the meantime

I am having fun on my XBX.
For the first few hours, it was a bit boring but after some skills are unlocked, more fun!

Can't wait to playing it after work.

  • HODL for Black Friday

  • +1

I got it from Amazon for the same price but that has gone back up.

I'm around 8 hours in and I have to say that I'm not really having that much fun compared to the other games in the series.

As above, if you can't get this one, don't be too worried as the older titles cost nearly nothing and are still a blast to play.

    • +1

It looks & appears to play exactly like every other game in the series, just a bit shinier. I love the games but there's no way I'm paying RRP for an experience similar to the one that came out 16 years ago.

  • I'm on a 5070 Ti and get 200+ fps at max settings, 1440p, with frame drops only during high intensity (standard Borderlands visual effect spam) situations, and even then I have never dipped below 180fps to my knowledge. Your mileage absolutely may vary, though. Friend of mine with a 7900XTX struggles to maintain 60fps at maximum settings, 1440p.

Outside of performance, the game is pretty great. Writing has absolutely improved (but is far from what I'd call good), gunplay is better, the new movement mechanics are great, and I've really enjoyed my time with it overall.

Also, word of advice, ignore every word from Randy Pitchford's mouth. Yes, he's a (profanity), everybody is aware of this, including fans of the series like myself.
