  • Coverage is quite less.

2,500 sqft is "quite less". boy do you know how big is 2.5k sqft? and man your "england".. Did you get your education in the States?

most typical houses sit on a land size of 700sqft, townhouses half that size..

Go back to school mate.. you probably need it.

      • Its 230sqm? Right?

25000sqft? R u ok mate? Go get ur eyesight checked first from Specsavers

      • 15m x 15m isn't that big. And probably is marketing, meaning it's tested without going through walls etc

      • 2500sqft about 232sqm

Square root of 232 about 15
A circle of about 232sqm would have a radius about 8.5m
I take that to mean the router would be okay up to 8.5m from the client device before the signal drops off a cliff. Not sure how else to interpret 2500sqft coverage claimed by Netgear.
8.5m is not great if the router isn't bang in the of the house.
        It's average for a WiFi 6 or 7 router though I think.

up to 9.3 Gbps for gaming

    Should work fine for Minesweeper…

  • Wouldn't recommend buying Netgear especially at this price. Just had to go through the process of replacing mine. Very temperamental wifi dropouts, prone to overheat and unreliable firmware updating. Honestly all consumer grade routers kinda suck for the price. Worth having a persure of https://routersecurity.org if you're in the router purchasing game. Enterprise level routers start at around 100-150 above this and might be a better choice

    • You’re absolutely right. I just bought this router today and I’m already seeing dropouts and stuttering on the second floor. Speeds upstairs are faster than before, but the instability makes it unusable—especially for online gaming where lag and disconnects are a dealbreaker. I’m on a 1000 Mbps plan. With the Telstra-provided router I used to get around 500 Mbps, and with this one I see about 680 Mbps

      • I think reason may the new router still be optimizing device connections, so upstairs the signal instability. If the router is using DFS channels, sudden switching can also cause dropouts.

      • I used to get around 500 Mbps, and with this one I see about 680 Mbps

My maths says that’s an improvement

  • Which is the solid wifi 7 router?

  • For this price you can get a U7 Express no?

    https://dongknows.com/ubiquiti-ux7-unifi-express-7-review/

    • $378 at mWave. I’d get U7

  • Mercysus Halo H47BE still much cheaper if you don’t mind a more budget brand
