I went with the 250w Prime at $240 instead but this is a great price

Nice option, there's a few other powerbank options that also have this 5% off too rn

  • Is it good to use for Macbook Pro?

    • +1

Yes, it'll be able to fast charge if you have the right cable too

I had one of these but checked it in and had a letter at the other end saying it got confiscated! Queenstown to Brisbane!

    • Which airline? Did they say why?

      • Virgin, apparently cant have them checked in but can have them as carry on? This was in early July this year.

Yikes I'd be really pissed too.

But yeah it's been a requirement for a while that most batteries (especially power banks), within spec, must be with you as carry on.

@Fx180: Traveled to UK over a year ago with this powerbank and this info was well known back then too. It was great to have in-flight too. I slowcharged it off the plane while keeping my phone and surface fully charged.

Its been a thing forever - no batteries in checked baggage?

    • +1

That sucks, I'd be spewing. It's been like that for the longest time though, and they have signs at the airport and especially check in counter for no batteries (generally speaking) for checked in.

why would you check it in? that is an automatic confiscation. its been like this for years.

  • Whilst looking at OP's post, I noticed this one that I just posted on OzB. Which one would you recommend?
