14" Laptop with Dedicated GPU

Having difficulty finding a 14" laptop or smaller that has dedicated graphics (preferbly a nvida) for around $1500.

I dont want a bigger laptop as its for a really specific use case and its connected to a monitor and must fit on a desk and be portable.

Found a few things but they are all $3k plus, when a basic 15.6" rtx4060 is around $1300 I dont understand how I cant find one?

Because a) there isn't as big a market for 14" gaming laptops, most people want 15.6" b) it's not easy to have sufficient cooling in such a small chassis without throttling the GPU to like 60W c) most of them are geared towards creators so the screen specs are typically quite high-end and $$$

    The TUF A14, for example

Buy the 15" you found and put a sticker on it that says 14" then.

Even the 14 inch MacBook Pro isn’t really big enough to cool the Max CPUs, it’s asking even more to cool a dedicated GPU. The first Razer blade was considered a feat of engineering for fitting a powerful gpu in a small chassis, and even that throttled.

  • 14 inch screens don't need dedicated GPUs, the APUs included are plenty to run the 1080p 14 in screens ;)

  • I think the generation has changed and there is not a current version but if you're open to seconds I'd see if you can snag a used/refurb Lenovo Legion Slim 5 14. They were around $1800-$2000 new in 2024, so hopefully can get one for closer to $1200-$1500? Ryzen 7, 32gb ram, OLED screen and a 4060. Have one myself and rate it for it's size, performance, and thermals.
