Funnily enough because of the combination of the Technology connections video + Catch closing sale, I use a tablet + add powder to the prewash section.
Powder always left my glassware cloudy or didnt clean them at all. Coffee cups had stains on them still.
Went back to tablet. Immediately clean. Id rather use powder but id also prefer clean dishes
Fair enough. At least you tried :). Powder worked well for me when I tried but I am still burning through my tabs from catch clearance. Not like I can get on my high horse.
Totally unrelated but I only recently worked out that you are supposed to clean the holes on the spray arms regularly.
How does one clean them?
@keeperofthegood: Check your manual. Some have detachable arms some don't (my manual specifically states not to try to detach but to clean the holes with a "cocktail stick")
I found tweezers work very well for debris that is lodged in and when a toothpick fails to work.
@Chocobros: Thanks, I ended up just pulling mine off (fortunately they do come off) and running hot water through them to make sure the holes were all flowing.
You were probably using too much powder.
How much should i use?
Yep, powder leaves heaps of spots / cloudiness on glass and white powdery residue on plastic. Love the Aldi tablets at 14c a wash. No such issues with them.

With powder 1) use less (as mentioned) 2) use more (not mentioned) 3) make sure you got rinse aid 4) use the correct settings/wash option

These or ALDI fairy tablets?
ALDI tablets are different to the Fairy brand of tablets. ALDI tablets have always worked well for me. Fairy work well but you probably won’t find them as cheap as the ALDI brand.
Oh i thought they were exclusive to aldi - shows how much I know.
I find the Fairy OK, are these better?
I know Choice rated the Aldi brand tablets really highly

How so? I use once or twice a week
two times a week will take you about 110 wks to finish 217 tablets, so about 2 yrs worth of your supply.
I think the shelf life for tablets are 12-15mths generally, assuming you get the latest batch produced recently.
