This looks like a good deal to me! $1948 - $198.40 in gift card = $1753.20. Ideal for my use for a good performance work laptop that is 2in1. Only thing I think its missing is a fingerprint reader.

The 'Aura Edition' of this is $1,899 through Lenovo at the moment, not 2-in-1 though but still touch -https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/yoga/yoga-slim-series/lenovo-yoga-slim-7i-aura-edition-gen-10-14-inch-intel/len101y0053
I just purchased the the 9i 2-in-1 Aura edition for $2209 through Lenovo, with eventual topcashback, well worth it to spend a couple hundred more.

I still cant find much difference in 9i and 7i?
Especially these aura edition. Just because it has AI?

I have less then a year Lenovo Yoga laptop and screen cracked by itself- no accident/drop, although it's under warranty Lenovo is saying screen cracks are not covered - cost of replacing the screen doesn't justify the cost of laptop. Avoid Lenovo as you end up paying more.

Counter example is that my kids have used Lenovo Yoga ThinkPads for high school & uni. About to replace one that is 7 years old because the battery is on the way out.

So hit and miss experience. I had previously owned Lenovo laptops and had no issues. Seems these new versions are not of the quality it used to be.

I have this exact model, picked up for the same price in EOFY sales. No real issues so far. Great battery life, amazing screen, performance is fine for what im using it for.
My only gripe is the touchpad occasionally sort of freezes, or microstutters, this only started happening recently so i think a driver update has caused it. Ive been using a Yoga mouse so havn't really investigated it properly yet.

What pen, case, mouse and docking hub do you recommend?

I haven't got a pen, theres only 1 lenovo pen that works with this afaik. I got the yoga case and yoga mouse from lenovo site (i ended up with $90 worth of reward points after the purchase and used those points to buy these 2 accessory's after the fact). Im not using a dock for it either, but you would want a thunderbolt dock i suspect.

Thanks

Could also get the Yoga Pro with U7 255H for $1949 on Lenovo website (plus cashback)

Be very careful with the monitor (2.8k Touchscreen)
Its INSANELY expensive to replace (repair).
I got quoted close to 70% of RRP from lenovo. Also unless the case is metal it will have a lot of flex.
I would never buy one of these.

You mean you F**ked up and broke the screen, and you are bitter you have to pay money to fix it? The case is aluminium metal and there is very little flex. Maybe you need to go back and use a calculus?

I had the similar experience, quality of screens on these machines are pretty average - I wished I had spent that amount of money on better built quality machine rather then this.

Pretty sure they normally dont let you apply the gift card in the same transaction though.
