It's never a bad idea to encourage a child's curiousity and interest in learning new things 👍🏻

Sometimes it can be. If you get them cheap shoddy equipment that's frustrating to use, then they grow up with a bad experience and are turned off ever trying that thing again. It's funny, in a way it acts like a reverse-inoculation.

I don't know anything about this product though.

So… What toy ruined your life?

          • @mit: Probably those $15 telescopes back in the 2000s. They were frustrating to use

            • @outlander: Thats a great example. Wish they would stop makimg them as clarity is important from the get go. Better off with a pair of semi ok binoculars and going from there if the interest kicks in. If not, one still has a pair of binoculars.
