Calling on my fellow OzBargainers
Need to buy a PS5 SLIM DISC this weekend and as a true OzBargainer I can't do it at RRP ($829) given they were on sale for ~$650 in June.
Anyone got any hot tips so I can get a good price?

There're also some retailers I've never heard of called Mwave and CeX for less, but I doubt I can price match a big retailer with these guys?

Some Retaillers are going to start charging extra for cash, which is about time.
I know there are outlaws/preppers etc out there, which will disagree (sorry guys).

I would say you're talking to the wrong guy.
Why, because I was the poor bugger at the end of the day double checking that the cashier balanced, and had to count all those notes that were loosly wrapped. This took time away from my family.
Then the following day, I would have to transport that money to Admin, and hopefully not get mugged, where admin would check it again.
Then, Armourguard etc would come pick it up for a fee, which was about the same as a customer paying via Visa or Mastercard

Discounted gift cards can only get you like 5% from corporate discounts. So that's still 749.
Possibly borrow a ps5 from a friend short term?

Yes always do this. Make sure the cards aren't tampered with also.
Price matching policies
I would use this for jbhifi as you can then get the gift cards easy for that. You can also do EB games if you can't get jbhifi cards and just price match to target if they are in the same shopping center.

I don't normally do this but you can try. The target discount it already a bit off and I'm not sure they will go lower. I know they can but I don't think they do.

You can match to mwave. That's a legit site. Cex is for used games and consoles so that won't work
