I've platinum'd this game 3 or 4 times on PlayStation (it's very short, I was bored during COVID, and I finally modded my Vita at the time so I downloaded multiple region versions…edit: I did buy it initially though, just pirated the international region versions, not that you actually care)

It's actually quite fun. It's a little level based sidescrolling beat 'em up kind of thing, some fun boss fights. Your guy has the basic jump dodge attack stuff. You need to belt the enemies at the right time, if you land combos in rhythm (it will come naturally, it's not music based or anything like that though, just basically timing your attacks to be right after you finish the last one, pretty common gameplay trope) you'll do a shitload more damage. If you ever played the Kung Fury game it's kind of like that.

Can't comment on the story at all because I don't remember it, may or may not have skipped it on the platinum runs, I don't remember. But the visuals are nice, the gameplay is fun, it doesn't overstay it's welcome, got an easy achievement list, and the price is right. If you've got nothing else on your immediate list, or you want to complete an entire achievement list on the Steam Deck while you take a dump, it's worth checking out.

It won't be a sore thumb in your pile of shame, I'd wager we all have worse games in it.

The platinum is only 3 or 4 levels required, each only a few minutes a piece. The game does go on after that, but I don't honestly remember how many levels, though I think 5 or so. It's easily beat in an hour, let me put it that way.

Google says 4 levels. Sounds about right. An hour is about the most it should take to have done everything and that includes replaying a level on hard mode for a trophy. According to my PSN profile, two of my four plats took about 3 weeks (so I didn't one sitting them), and the other two were 22 minutes 6 seconds, and 19 minutes 57 seconds from start to finish…I was not speed running them.
