    Here’s the direct link

    • It's…already there?

      • I tapped on it it took me to the US store item

  • I highly recommend getting the XE75 Pro (2-Pack) if you can stretch the budget: https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Deco-XE75-Pro-Router/dp/B0…

    • That's a wifi 6e mesh unit compared to this which is wifi 7… What are the advantages?

The most significant advantage is the extra satellite for far better range. As for speed, the best advice I can give you is not to get caught up in the marketing BS. Even a WiFi 6 router is enough for today's standards. You are never going to need 46Gbps bandwidth when we have only just received 2Gb in Australia. My other WiFi 6E mesh system has a 10Gb WAN port but for what? Absolutely nothing in our country.

        • Right, I only ask because if I was to get this unit, id probably get it as part of a 3 pack. So the mesh point is moot.

As for the 'argument' against wifi 7, for internet usage that may be the case. But personally I do a lot of internal transfers. So that doesn't hold up for me either.

Was just curious what I was missing? As a standing unit to unit the be65 pro best it imo.

Xe 75 pro yes Wifi6, but still a very good router

      • Will you be upgrading to 2Gb in the future? If yes, then no. If no, then yes. That is the standard XE75 with the 1Gb port.

      • My deco m5 have been solid for many years and was even good for 100/20 speed. Now I got upgraded to 500/40 (for same pricel and think it's time to upgrade. Will this be good enough for wireless backhaul for 500/40 connection.

There is no comparison even if you don't consider 6E vs Wifi 7. BE11000 is much better in bandwidth which means in mesh modes it has more capacity to allot to wifi mesh than XE75 Pro.

      XE75 PRO
      AXE5400
      6 GHz: 2402 Mbps (802.11ax, HE160)
      5 GHz: 2402 Mbps (802.11ax, HE160)
      2.4 GHz: 574 Mbps (802.11ax)

      BE11000
      6 GHz: 5765 Mbps (802.11be)
      5 GHz: 4324 Mbps (802.11be)
      2.4 GHz: 688 Mbps (802.11ax)

      • These numbers don't mean a thing if your internet connection cannot supply the routers with such bandwidth.

        • Agree. However for wireless mesh, more bandwidth is always better for as TP-Link uses all bands for wireless backhaul.

          • @lastkey: Really? I thought only 1 band was shared.

            • @Maths Debater: No. It uses all three bands. You've no control over it. I've XE200 2 Deco setup and it shows that satellite is using 2.4/5Gh/6Ghz in Deco app.

Although I've disabled 6Ghz for front haul. The reason for disabling is that's another TP-Link quirk. It doesn't provide one SSID for all three channels. 2.4+5Ghz can have one or multiple SSID. But 6Ghz have to have a separate SSID. So I just disabled it. 5Ghz is more than enough for internet speed as you said.

So in summary, enabling or disabling 6Ghz fronthaul has no impact on backhaul which is good in that regard that 6Ghz is still available and being used for backhaul in additon to 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

  • What's their best value non mesh Wifi 6 router? TP-Link AX6000 Archer AX80?

  • I have google nest wifi 2nd gen with 1 access point. Its going strong so far no major complaints. I do have a dead spot in 1 corner of our house. I could get something like the xe75 pro but dont know if its worth it? Other cheaper option is to get 3rd access point.
There is about 15-20 iot devices and 5 phones/computers. Internet speed is 500/50

  • This unit only has router access via mobile app right?

  • Would this cover a double-story 40sq+ home? If not what would be a better option?

    • On it's own? I wouldn't think so, but what would? The idea is to buy multiple and set up as a mesh, ideally an ethernet backhauled one.

    • No chance, you'll need at least another satellite.

Recently got the 2-pack non-pro version from Good Guys Commercial for $509. No complaints so far.

    • Excellent price. It's not on TGG Commercial website. How did you manage this?

    • Same question. Last time I asked they said they can only sell what's on TGG Commercial website.
