Goodyear 235/65R17 108V Tyre

Hello Guys, I need to replace a tyre on my MY15 Hyundai Santa Fe. The existing tyres are Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard SUV 235/65R17 108V, so I’d like to get the same model. My mechanic has quoted $240, but I’m wondering if there’s a place where I can purchase it at a lower price and have it fitted. Thanks in advance!

    Costco?

    • That’s what I was thinking. We got our last car battery and windscreen wipers from Costco.

    Only one tyre?

Surely the car has more than one wheel? Op, can you please confirm?

    • Probably damaged. I think from a roadworthy perspective the tyres are meant to basically match. Happy to be told different.

they need to be the same size and construction but as long you wouldn't get knocked back on two highway tyres of different brands on the same axle, for example

        • Ive only seen coppers brief look at the tread and disregard tyre size/ profile etc

          • @ATTS: that may be so but if you're in nsw it's not the coppers who are doing your roadworthy check every year

            • @Aldonis: Oh yes true.not me but there are alot of places that will pass pink slips easily

      • Whats your opnion on puncture repairs on a relatively new tyre?

I heard should be fine for non sidewall puncture?

Never heard of that store, but handy if you find somewhere that price matches.

  • Just ask Perplexicity or chatgpt.

Why so fixated on that brand and model?

    • Perhaps they want to have a good year?

      • Maybe they should Pirelli at the other brands

  • I saw one on the side of the road yesterday.
