Course Overview:
Give the gift of adventure with this all-inclusive Open Water Scuba Diving Course voucher. Designed for beginners, this course combines 3–4 hours of online theory, a pool training session, and four open water dives across Sydney’s scenic coastline.

You’ll learn to dive safely and confidently to a depth of 18–20 metres under the guidance of our experienced, passionate instructors. The course includes a swim test (200m swim and 10-minute tread/Float) and is typically run over one evening and two full days (choose from: Mon–Wed or Fri–Sun). Failure to perform these swim tests and Tread/Float within the allocated time frame will result in course cancellation without refund, and rebooking will be at full cost.

Upon successful completion, you'll receive a full Open Water Certification, allowing you to dive around the world with a buddy—no guide required.

I did this course recently (in Winter) with these guys and they were great, highly recommend. I would strongly urge you ensure you can actually do the swim test before you go, treading water for 10 minutes after a 200m swim is no joke if you're unfit like I was. I saw them send one guy home after he couldn't complete the 200m swim (they charge a rebooking fee).

    • Thanks for the insights, bought this in the last deal and will start my course shortly.

Have also done this course a few years ago and second this. The instructors are absolute legends, and super professional.

And yes you definitely need to know how to swim. Not the “oh I can doggy paddle and maybe stay afloat”. You gotta be a reasonably good swimmer - which makes sense because honestly the off shore doves are no joke. One of the requirements to passing is being able remove your diving mask at depth and recovering it - if you’re not strong and confident in water, this can go south real quickly. Will definitely get sent home in the pool stage if you’re not up to par.

Also probably do some cardio leading up to it. I remember doing the dives off Camp Cove beach, and just putting on the wetsuit + hauling the 10kg ish oxygen tanks to the beach already got me gassed 😂

    • Is that swim also in open water? Can you share where they do the test please

      • It's in a pool.

    Genuine bargain.

For those who haven't been scuba diving before, it is otherworldly.
