Dodo Mobile Issue

I've never used Dodo mobile before and have usually sticked with Amaysim, Boost, Lebara etc.. and they're all the same in terms of how they work so I didn't think to google Dodo before purchasing 2 sims today for myself and another family member. We usually port in and out of these networks depending on what's on sale each month. When trying to activate the dodo sim, it seems that you're locked in to a plan as opposed to being prepaid and there's no option to turn off auto renewal. Contacted customer service and they said dodo doesn't offer prepaid services like that and I have to activate then try to cancel the service later. Problem is we're going oveseas in 3 week's time and don't want to have to risk losing the number. Did a quick google reviews and people are having problems with Dodo not turning off their auto renewals. Can't return the sims to Coles, don't think they'll accept it especially one is already opened. Basically I'm $20 out of pocket. Any ideas on how to get the money back?

    Did you read the

    Critical Information Summary. Min term is one month. It isn't Coles' problem you didn't read the T&Cs nor is it Dodo customer service team's fault.

    You could try returning the sims… All you can do is ask. Otherwise just leave them and port into Dodo when you are back from holiday?

    If you don't want to risk losing the number, then Auto Renewal is the best option for you. You can travel around the world and it will be ready for you when you come back?
