  • Are there any pictures that are of the contents of the box? So far it's just an image of the front that looks very AI generated.

    • Hey! I updated the image carousel! I had the content at the bottom of the website before, now it should be easier to view the contents of the box. Cheers

        Still convinced it’s AI slop.

The first image for Holiday, Santa. Has the title Sandscape, in the contents photo it says Sand Art with an illegible subtitle, almost looks like alegging hoe.

Same with the cosmic one, Sandscape is sand art with a different subtitle that isn’t a word

Spooky Fun says Sand Sart for god sake, how hard is it to proof read these things?

I work with AI daily, it’s also fine you’re using AI but the lack of attention to detail and lack of a real product image makes you look very VERY dodgy.

Do you even have a product? Are you drop shipping AliExpress?

Agree, lazy Ai junk pics. Plus it's been over 20hrs & no reply… post & run.

Not a good start for 1st post on Aus number one community website for sharing bargains.

          • @WatchNerd: Hey guys, apologies for the silence – I actually got hit with a temp ban so couldn’t reply sooner. Appreciate the honesty and feedback. I’ll fix up the product images and subtitles so they’re clearer. Thanks again.

        • Thanks for the honest feedback — you were right, my original product photos weren’t doing Tokigai any favors. I’ve since updated all the images on my site with proper photos of the real kits, so everything is clearer and more accurate now.

I really appreciate you pointing this out — it pushed me to fix it straight away. If you get a chance, I’d love for you to check out the new product pages and let me know what you think.

          • @seasaltchips: See, now I would be WAY more tempted to purchase those.. good job.

Glad you were proactive about it all.

AI is great, keep using it, just proof read, check, ensure it’s all what you would expect and then ship.

Things slip through, but remember AI is like a junior it’s going to mess up. It’s up to you to ensure quality.

            • @athk: Thanks mate! Appreciate the kind words.

In the future I will definitely utilise these tools better! Cheers :)

    The kids would love this.

    • The parents cleaning up, not so much

    • +1

It's great when you love a deal so much that you join just to vote on it 😀

      • @Lizard Spock I think just coincidence lol. Nicely spotted. Like said before in earlier post/comments. Wish there was a filter to not be able to see posts made by accounts less than 7 days. I know you miss a few real deals but I am willing to take the chance. Ozbargain turning more and more into an ad and drop shipping platform.

        • And the TOKIGAI15 I can interpret translated from Swedish, crazy AI 15% (tokig meaning crazy)

        • +2

Coincidence? I don't think so. They joined and only voted on the one deal. And their only comment is a very Sockpuppety comment.

  • Hey Mikael, just to clear that up — Tokigai actually comes from the Japanese word Ikigai (reason for being). I twisted it a little because I wanted something unique but still inspired by the idea of creating meaning and joy through small things. Definitely not Swedish AI slang 😅

I’m just running this as a solo small business, not a dropship or anything shady. Apologies if it came across otherwise — I get how it might look that way at first glance. Thanks for pointing it out though, I’ll make sure I explain the background better next time.

    • No problems, and no need to apologize. Hard with a business model like yours. Especially with so many other alternatives for similar things.
Also very shady the comment "the kids would love this" just being created after yours and commented whilst you were offline. Perhaps coincidence. Wish you good luck. Our kids like this kind of things.
