Do these expire in game? I'm redeeming them but I think I'll just wait for the GOTY version.
No they don't expire after you redeem them to your account. So yes, redeem away for a nice stockpile when the inevitable $20 complete version arrives. In no way is this game worth purchasing at the moment.
There's lots of bugs and $110 is such a steep price point, but I think saying "in now way is this game worth purchasing at the moment" isn't fair. If you've got a decent enough PC or a console and enjoyed the previous games, it's definitely still fun and got a heap of content.
When compared to countless other complete experiences available—full games with complete DLC's and bug fixes—it absolutely is not worth purchasing right now.
That doesn't mean if you and your friends fork out $110 each there isn't fun to be had. I've heard very good things about the game itself. But bruh, you'd straight up be paying the highest price for the absolute worst version of the game. Current performance is atrocious, QOL improvements like inventory management are desperately needed, and all the while Randy cannot wait to pump out Season Pass 1, 2 and 3.
There are literally no negatives to waiting, unless you are an absolute diehard Borderlands fanboy who MUST HAVE IT NOW.
It's not even about saving money. It's about waiting for a properly complete and polished game. Modern AAA games are almost always Early Access in all but name.
