32¢ cheaper than the last deal from mingofmongo.
Ships from Amazon Germany. Looks identical to what is sold in Australia. Judging by the comments on the previous desk, it is the same device as what is available locally.

Firmware updates and a hardware revision fixed the U7 Pro Max, I have a revised model and have had no issues.
Is this around the 2.4ghz issues?
Yeah I think they're referring to some IoT devices having issues connecting and having to have a specific 2.4ghz network.
@elitistphoenix: I just got the u6 lite and pro. And one iot having issues (an old broadlink). Had to create a separate wifi and just 2.4 for it to be nice. Haven't checked since newest firmware.
@elitistphoenix: It probably connected to the pro one. I have tried bonding it to my UDR7 but no go. Even with enhanced IoT settings enabled. I have always had issue with this device. Hit or a miss. Even hotspotted from my phone simulating same SSID and password. Next time it's going in the bin and I use esp32 with ir transmitter (it is a IR broadcaster). Got the things already for it.
@elitistphoenix: Any word if these 2.4ghz issues affects the U7 LR as well? I was going to upgrade my existing U6 Pros to U7 LRs as the LRs have a higher gain 2.4GHZ antenna for all of my legacy IOT devices.
I had one issue when I got mine, my solar inverter on 2.4ghz wouldn't maintain a stable connection.
After flashing beta Unifi firmware the issue was resolved. The fix is now in the stable firmware too.
It wouldn't surprise me if there's still issues that people are experiencing, but it's been smooth sailing for me now with 30-odd devices connected.
Firmware updates (I'm on the latest 8.0.49 now) still haven't fixed my intermittent IoT issues. My Nest Home Hubs (on 5GHz) occasionally displays a Check Internet connection screen (or Setup, can't remember) for a few seconds, and sometimes one of my fans (also on 5GHz) completely disconnects. Restarting the AP reconnects it. I never had those problems with my U6 Lite.
On earlier firmware a lot of my ESP devices on 2.4GHz would keep dropping out. That seems to be stable now, fortunately.
If I had to buy another one I definitely would skip the U7 Pro and get the XG instead.
I would suggest opening a warranty request then and see if you can get a newer hardware revision device.
@playaz91: Mine is already the newer revision without the fan, purchased in May. There are lots of reports of issues in the 8.0.49 release post, although that only shows people with issues and not people without.
@eug: Interesting, I had the older version (with fan) and it had issues. I opened a warranty and got it replaced been smooth sailing since then.
No issues since launch with my U7 Pro. Rock solid. 1.1gbps via Wifi 7 on my iPhone.
Think I'll still hold for 300 or less with black friday and amazon prime day coming up.
I won't downvote the post, but U7 product line has major issues.
You are not making anyone any favour.
I advise to stick to U6 models.
I've only heard good things but you've put the doubt in my mind. I might just wait for a deal on the Omada EAP772/773.
I bought two U7 Light, spent two days, nothing would make them work. Wifi was dropping if not connecting at all.
I exchanged them for an U6+, it worked in less than 5 minutes.
Other Reddit posts convinced me, it was just not me, with professional installers (for building, businesses, etc.) returning U7 models to install U6 models.
I don't have issue with my U7 Lite. U7 Lite does feel more like a WiFi 6 access point since it doesn't have 6GHz support. I do have more issues with U7 Pro. Also, I found UCG-Fiber quite picky on VLAN configuration with these compared to UCG-Max.
same for me. pairing process to the cloud ultra kept erroring out.
now it's connected i am getting 100mbps wifi on 500mbps nbn. too much findling around with config required. u6 pro out the box was a much better experience.
did you happen to have a DNS / Pi-Hole / AdGuard running?
I have the U7 Pro Max and U7 Pro XG and zero issues with them. I can get easily 2Gb/s on the local network using the new iPhone.
Don’t the U7 Pro have an inbuilt fan too? Seems like U6 Pro is the way to go until U7 matures.
Initial batches of U7 Pro do have fans. When you buy UniFi products online, you can't quite tell which batch / version you will get.
Keep in mind - to take advantage of wifi 7 meshing multi ap comms you will need 2 devices at least with wifi 7. This is great for wireless mesh setups.
I plan on making the move soon when there is a decent deal on udr7.
Probably wiser to go with udr7 with cheapest u7 ap, unless you live in giant farm.
If you used wired setup, you can mix access points. I use non-UniFi APs for WiFi 6 (much cheaper) and UniFi WiFi 7 access points (though I intend to add 3rd party ones later).
Yes indeed wired is best and I would not be upgrading if I could have wired it all up. Unfortunately not an option for me.
For wireless mesh, you probably prefer mesh units or access points supporting 4x4 or dedicated band for backplane. These 2x2 access points aren't ideal for wireless mesh (but I guess if it is just for 500/50 NBN, these are probably okay).
@netsurfer: Hmm good point. Did not know about the other options. I shall do some digging on throughput numbers, but provided I am quite used to Unifi, likely go with that unless there is a huge difference.
@Bargainboss99: Your mesh nodes (or access points running in wireless mesh mode) need to be well placed to benefit from 4x4. Also, unless you have WiFi 7 devices, you won't get any WiFi 7 speed benefit.
Also, UniFi only puts 4x4 on 5GHz for U7 XGS (and U7 Pro Max). The 6GHz is a bit of a pain to take advantage (you pretty much need to be in the same room as the access point). We all like Ubiquiti UniFi's SDN. However, just a heads up, unlike WiFi 6, true / clean WiFi 7 configuration doesn't work well for older devices (especially old WiFi 5 devices). You can adjust it to make it work with those devices, but you won't get the top speed once you do that.
WiFi 7 makes more sense for a wired backbone setup. You want the high bandwidth and you want low latency too.
@netsurfer: Yes devices well placed with heat map.
Should have los for 6ghz between u7 ap. So far no issues really… just my 3 year tax write off is over :P.
Got a UDR7 and 2 x U7 Lite APs 3 months ago and they have been excellent.
Thank you for that.
U7 Pro XG for $365 + Delivery at Device Deal
For a few more dollars you can get the 10Gb port model.

Most likely need to get a 10Gbps PoE+ injector as well.
Same power consumption as U7 Pro, which also needs POE+
2.5Gbps PoE+ injector is cheaper. Also, if you have a UCG-Fiber, you get 1 2.5Gbps PoE+ port.
before the injector,
XG series uses a smaller mounting plate, not an issue for new installs,
but worthy consideration point for upgraders looking for drop-in replacement upgrade
U7 Pro XG has newer chipset, lower maximum heat generation, no built-in fan (compared to U7 Pro).
must… resist…
Long range is a different product.
yes my bad, but I have seen it regularly with codes at ~$300 - nothing currently
Be aware that, unlike U6 Pro, U7 Pro has just 2x2 MIMO on 5Ghz (and 2x2 on 6Ghz).
Someone can argue that it should be called just U7, without pro.
U7 Pro Max has a proper 4x4 MIMO on 5Ghz (and 2x2 on 6Ghz).
Also, need to watch out for the way UniFi quoting 5 GHz 4.3 Gbps (BW240) for U7 Pro, and likewise for U7 Pro Max. BW240 is only allowed in the United States. In Australia, BW160 is the max you can get so re-calculate the max speed accordingly.
4x4 MIMO on U6 Pro, regrettably is handicapped since it only supports gigabit ethernet upstream. Same goes for U7 Pro's quoted speed, you will essentially be limited by 2.5Gbps LAN. That's why I tend to just use cheap 3rd party access points (or re-purpose routers as access points) for WiFi 6. Far too many WiFi 6 devices don't support all 2.5Gbps LAN ports (with cost effective ones don't even offer 2.5Gbps WAN port). For WiFi 7, the 10Gbps backplane infrastructure (10Gbps LAN) does cost $$$.
The reason U7 Pro is discounted is due to 2.5Gbps upstream support (essentially, first gen WiFi 7 chipset based solution).
Still not attractive to me even sub $300 for general home use
I have U7 lite for home and very happy with that.
Better coverage than U6 plus and with support of Wifi 7. Obviously without 6Ghz which I hardly have a compatible device.
I can get 1Gbps Up and down with 5Ghz in the nexdoor room and minimum 500Mbp around the house which is more than enough for me as I run wire if I need beyond gigabit anyway.
for more than 1Gbps you have to sit literally next to the AP with 6Ghz. Cannot pass a wall beyond 1Gbps.
These do drop down to $300 sometimes however I looked at these and the U7 Pro Max and from what people said they had multiple issues with both models, firmware upgrades may have fixed them however I ended up with the U7 Pro XG.
