- Strong Smart-Upgrade Capability
For existing venetian blinds or roller shades, the ZMP1 provides an easy path to “smart” upgrades without replacing the entire system—ideal for users who want to modernize what they already have. - Zigbee Protocol & Compatibility
Using the Zigbee protocol offers advantages in stability, power consumption, and local network communication compared with Wi-Fi, which can be more prone to interference. It’s a great fit for users who already have a Zigbee ecosystem. - Battery Powered / Built-in Battery
The built-in battery means there’s no need for a constant power connection, allowing wireless installation and reducing wiring hassles—especially useful for shade boxes or places where running power lines is difficult. - Three-Speed, Flexible Control
Speed can be adjusted in three levels, letting you balance opening speed against noise and power saving. - Compact Size & Easy Installation
Based on reviews of similar models (such as the MTP1), the design allows flexible installation, easy positioning, and good overall compatibility.

Do you hire a screw “driver” everytime to tighten a screw
I prefer the term screw chaffeur.
Is it better than aqara
How long does the battery usually lasts?
Do I need 2 of these to control vertical blinds? Horizontal and rotational movement…
You'll need a motor for each cord. I'm using one of these for my horizontal blinds but I only automate the tilting, not the opening and closing.

If your blinds use pull cords rather than a loop you'll need to get creative.
Thank you for this link - seems to be about half the cost of the OP. Apart from looking a bit uglier, is there anything else missing that the OP has?
Not sure, it looks the same functionality wise to me.
I have 2 of them working reliably in zigbee2mqtt. I needed to tweak z2m to get them to work right but after setup they are working well.
@No: Cool thanks, planning to use them with HA and my zigbee dongle. I didn't know I needed this until I read this thread.
Don't forget it's cheaper and takes a few seconds to open a blind by hand.
Yeah not the point here, it's the fact you can set an automated preference
Cheaper is arguable. If you have good blinds and shit windows, not closing it at the right time (literally 5 minutes) can result in the cold coming in in winter or heat coming in in summer. Substantially cheaper to get these products than replace the windows.
Being able to automate blinds opening/closing based on inside and outside temperature means saving on heating/cooling. If you’re in the middle of a task or not in the house, these automated options can still mean the blinds are opened/closed at the right time.

*Tuya Zigbee Hub is Required (not included). Thanks!
Good pickup but zigbee hub is pretty inexpensive
Sounds dangerous…
