JBL Junior 470NC wireless noise-cancelling over-ear headphones introduce a whole new generation to JBL Sound at volumes that are safe for their ears. They won’t go beyond 85dB, protecting young listeners from dangerous sound levels, and feature Active Noise Cancelling, so a noisy environment won't make kids want to crank up the volume. You can use the JBL Headphones app to customize their maximum volume and daily listening time, and get daily or weekly reports on your child's listening activity. Designed for kids, the JBL Junior 470NC are comfortable to wear, with durable oversized controls that are easy for even the littlest hands to use. Up to 50 hours of battery life (with ANC off) means long-lasting fun, and a built-in mic lets kids chat with family, friends, or teachers easily. They include a JBL sticker set so your little rockstars can personalize their look. Great sound has no age limit.

No, no. When we said we wanted noise cancelling for our kids, we meant headphones to go on the parents!

No no no no. Do not give anc for kids. That's ear problems waiting to happen

While it is probably best to be on the safe side, I don't think there's technically a clear link at the moment. While there is anecdotal evidence of an increase in younger people having sound processing issues (as opposed to actual hearing impairment), the link to noise-cancelling devices seems to only be a hypothesis and so far there hasn't been any direct research into this.
