Not the best price for a PS5 by a long shot, but I needed to buy one today, and this was the best I could find. The game's a bonus (comes as a redeemable code inside the box). Use gift cards to reduce the damage.
Wasn't buying for myself - I've already got one. But yeah, even for my own needs and budget (and the limited gaming time that I have), the Pro would've been an overkill.

The OG ps5 disk version is always better over the slim but you cant’ get them any more :D
I traded my launch disc ps5 for the pro on the pro launch. Haven't looked back.

Frankly, they have been touting this claim since the Dreamcast days.
It’s all smoke and mirrors (Tech demos) until they prove themselves otherwise in an actual game.
That's a Kojima production so I'd likely believe that.

The PS5 barely has 2 handful of worthwhile exclusives 5 years in its lifetime. AND it’s graphical potential has hardly been fully tapped into or pushed….Such a sad state of affairs relative to their PS1 to PS4 era.
It’s unlikely the PS6 will fare any better - if Sony does not pick up their socks.
I’ve learnt my lesson. I’ll hold until years into the next gen to even consider a PS6. This PS5 gen has made me put brakes on for buying anything PlayStation (and Xbox) hardware day one/ year one.
The last two generations has made me accept I no longer care about modern gaming.
Retro gaming for me going forward.

Just thinking of you haven't got a ps5 yet . The pro is probably a nice thing to save up for. On the flip side base ps5 plays everything the pro does anyway.
