  • How close to a brand new Pixel Watch 2 would the battery life be on this? Have the batteries been replaced?

    • I bought a used one elsewhere mid 2024 and somehow the battery life has improved quite a bit on mine since then. Whatever Google have done software updates-wise I'm not too sure but as far as I'm concerned this is still a great product for $139 these days

  • new one for $299 if anyone interested.

Be aware that the end of support in 2026.

    • wow really? 3 year support is kind of insane

[edit] ok so I did a quick google, and it isn't that bad. Watches don't require the same amount of software updates as phones so I guess it is kind of ok?

  • What charger will this have? I heard pixel watch series has 3 different chargers

    • This one has a puck with pins, the original had just a normal puck (no pins).
I have this watch and its perfect for a day usage. Great with a Telsra e-sim without taking my phone on a run.

    • PW1 - Apple Watch style magnetic puck
      PW2 & 3 - Magnetic puck with pogo pins
      PW4 - Sideways dock charger

How can a Google Watch be refurbished when it’s practically unrepairable?

    • +1

      That’s a good question — and a common concern.

When a Google Pixel Watch (or most smartwatches) is sold as refurbished, it doesn’t necessarily mean it has been “repaired” in the way phones are (like swapping batteries or replacing cracked screens). Instead, refurbishment generally involves:

Thorough Testing – Each unit is powered on, diagnostics are run, sensors, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE), display, haptics, heart rate monitor, and charging functions are tested.

Cosmetic Grading – Devices are cleaned and categorized by external condition (e.g., “Like New,” “Grade A,” etc.).

Battery & Function Check – If the battery is healthy (typically still well within usable range), it passes. If it’s faulty and can’t hold charge, those units are usually rejected, not refurbished.

Replacement of Accessories – Straps, chargers, or packaging may be replaced.

Wipe & Reset – All data is securely erased, and the watch is restored to factory settings.

Been waiting for a pixel watch for a while! Thanks op!

Awesome, thanks for grabbing one! 🙌 Hope you enjoy the watch.

  • Is there any way to get a generic eSim plan on to one of these - rather than a shared number linked to a Telstra plan?
