Sweet, it was $51 at Amazon when I looked a couple of days ago

  • Won't include the new pages added in the upcoming Switch release

Since its a collectable you may want to go with a store you can pick it up rather than amazon.

They're so hit and miss with shipping books like this. Sometimes I can a cardboard mailer that is fairly protective - but 50% of the time I normally just get them chucked in a loose padded bag, which most of the time will result in corner dents.

  • I got $6 off over $60. Ozb group buy anyone?

Someone please explain the attraction? The one page shown.. seems neither for adults (due to the content) nor kids (being for collectors)

It’s for the Nintendo obsessed who buy everything njntendo. And the stuff commonly holds its value - or at least has traditionally

This one isn’t for me, but good to know it’s a thing.

    • For adults, it'd be for the people that loved the story of the Galaxy series or collectors.

As for kids, it's literally written as a bedtime book so it's perfectly fine for children use.

I don't see any limitations like a 1 per customer rule so if people wanted to collect and still use it for their own children, they can just get 2. Sure it'd cost a bit but anyone even collecting anything at this point are already spending tonnes of money.k

      • I've only played Mario 64 and Odyssey, not galaxy(s). Surprised that anyone would mention the story of a Nintendo Game as being a selling point!

Honestly, Galaxy is the best Mario game that I've played. Music, gameplay, art direction all phenomenal.

You need to play Galaxy if you liked 64 and Odyssey.

@ChasesBargains: I loved 64, it felt compact and focused. Didn't like Odyssey, it felt like it gained size but in doing so somehow lost its sense of fun but I think I'll warm up to the formula as I have been enjoying bananza.

I'm looking forward to the re release of galaxy. I actually have them in my GameCube collection but I never actually had a GameCube I just collected them long after they were released so they went straight to the backlog

            • @justtoreply: Yeah, imagine the level design of 64 with the Mechanics of Odyssey, that's Galaxy. Galaxy is much more focused than Odyssey that's for sure.

            • @justtoreply: I've got the Wii versions of Galaxy 1/2 🤔 and I've also played SM64, and Odyssey. I like Odyssey except for when they ramp up the difficulty towards the end. My fav is the machines watering plants zone, and the music. SM64 was a different era, still a good game, but Ocarina came from that time too. The internet and it's interactive and social aspect was barely there. You kind of put the focus on gaming in that time. Way too many distractions now. Oh and Galaxy 1/2, good games too.

Haven't played DK yet but will. Heard good things 👍

@cobknob: Ah 64 was also the golden Zelda era. It has now suffered the same fate of more content, less focused, less magic.

                • @justtoreply: Look, botw and totk could have included some dungeon-esq locations but N chose not too. I found the music wasn't really memorable either. I did like totk underground addition. In both I also appreciated the open world idea. Overall the game does need some further additions and polishing. For me I found Odyssey to be enjoyable including the 2D mini segments. I'd love to see an Odyssey sequel. Fingers crossed 🤞 Metroid prime 4 measures up. - don't misunderstand me but botw and totk were successful games but they could have been even more so.
