These cheap combo kits are always way too heavy.

    • Can confirm, had one for a few weeks a few years back (flogged it senseless before returning it) and it is incredibly heavy for a quite modest power output. Goes through the fuel as well.

All the attachments are so-so, nothing great - but it's pretty ordinary overall.

Yep bit like a swiss army knife except not swiss

    • I cannot agree more. I bought one kit last year, and very physical demanding to swing around but does the job. Until one day the housing is cracked when changing from one to anther acceccary.
The refund process is a breeze through.
Recommended if you have a lot to do this spring. Not Recommended if you only use it occasionally.

  • Bought one last year. The on/off button stopped working so returned it. Was super heavy also so made the hedge trimmer almost obsolete. Good for the price I guess though

I'm a complete weakling- love my light makita gear

For those who are saying its too heavy. Its like carrying a ladder, smarter to hold it in the middle. I dont lift and have no problems using it for hour or two. Using mine for 2+ years, the wheel eadger is amazing for straight lines

    • But you do lift if you’ve been using this for 2 years for hours at a time.

      Almost competition lifting!

  • I've been wanting to get one of these, people are off loading them for $100 on marketplace (barley used) and I thought to myself it must be shit. Can anyone give an honest review on how it performs (looking to cut some fairly thick branches off my trees with the chain saw attachment). I know its heavy but that's not a problem.

    • Then buy from market place. No trade, no harm.

Buy a 240v ozito corded one. Lighter. Telescopic. Heaps of power.

      • Yeah, I might just buy the 700w ozito telescopic chain saw, shame it doesn't have an attachment for the trimmer as the stand alone telescopic trimmer is only 500w and has pretty bad review on power.

    • I have one and switched to electric gear (Ego) because this is heavy and sometimes takes for ever to start. It’s loud and drinks fuel. Instead of selling it for less than $50 I am keeping it just for the chainsaw attachment, as it’s very handy for annual pruning.

    • It’s absolute junk and totally unenjoyable to use.
I eventually put mine out for council pickup.

I specifically bought it for the pole saw and edger, the unit is underpowered and especially cumbersome for this attachment due to its excessive weight and weird weight distribution (I’m a moderately big & strong lad but this is just a piece of crap).

I posted this last time it was for sale:

      • Cheers for the feedback!

          This was my last post:

I'm a builder and made an impulse purchase of this a few years ago.
It's a piece of crap, don't buy it.

I mainly got it for the edger and polesaw, it was cheap and I thought it could be handy for those niche uses however it is heavy and clunky and totally unenjoyable to use.
I have a 4 stroke Honda whipper snipper with a few different heads/blades so didn't need it for the brushcutter/whipper snipper.

We also have a company Milwaukee 18v Polesaw which is gun but its usually on site or with one of our guys so I wanted something on hand for those random slots where I've successfully begged the missus to squeeze some gardening in but eff me, once you've used a good cordless tool I think its impossible to go back to something like this.

Mine ended up in landfill with some of the attachments unused.

I ended up buying my first Ozito cordless tool, the cordless edger and I use it with a converter from Aliexpress with my Metabo batts and it adequately satisfies that requirement. Quite a good tool for home use.

I'm still lacking a powered polesaw for home use but I'd rather get up on a ladder and use a hand saw or cordless sabre saw than use this hunk of junk.

I want to eventually punt my petrol mower and whipper snipper for cordless but I'll keep them for now. My Honda whipper snipper is 17 years old and still runs well with absolutely bare minimal maintenance over those years.

  • I wish the attachments worked on my makita powerhead. Or somebdoy made an adaptor. If only!

  • Any recommendations; I’m new to these mower tools.

Found it too heavy. Did the job but was bloody loud too. Ended up going electric, no 2 stroke mixing for me!

    • Electric is much easier for specialty + rarely used tools

  • I had one of these gave it away picked it up on clearance at 100. I found changing the heads absolutely awful. Took me ages just to swap each time first time getting a head in was an hour. There's a real knack to it.

pefect, i love these aldi sales.
time for bunnings to match with ozito products.

  • i love mine !

I have a similar one from Mitre10. It has a strap that you can wear it over your shoulder to reduce the weight on your wrist and arm. The machine itself is great after 3 years and its still going strong. All attachements are working very well too. I have been considering electrical ones. 18v cant match the power of a 32cc two stroke unless you are willing to pay a fortune to get like 54v flexvolt, greenworks 60 etc. So the price is very much justified for the features you get despite being heavy.
