Slim pickings on credit card deals these days. 5 years ago it was great, even 2 years ago when Citibank had payall was a goldmine

    • +1

Yeah, citi payall was a goldmine.

    • +1

I have no idea how I missed it. I have been with Citibank forever. I see it spoken about all the time now. How did it work? What was the benefit?

      • +1

LOL, the deal was back in 2021.

I heard that few people were able get biz class ticket round the world. I was just got 1 return biz class to Singapore, about over $1500K worth of WoW vouchers, nearly a dozen of lounges access (happened to travelled to NZ a lot for work during that year), and nearly 300K Citi points spare.

I think it was the best deal of the year. It was the only paid credit card that I kept for full 12 months.

        • +2

          $1500k?
          meaning $1M??

          • @AdModnar: Hahah, no way that's true.

          • @AdModnar: Ha ha, sorry it was $1500 - don't know why I had the K in there.

        • +2

Nah, buying bitcoin at $25k back then was the true gold mine.

          • -1

@RTX9090Ti: Earned $10k worth of points between me and partner. Citi Payall was absolutely amazing!

            • -1

@Ash-Say: Made hundreds of k of profits on bitcoin is truly amazing, with just few clicks.

    • Life is good if you can get approved for the top tier black / platinum / titanium cards still. I've racked up 400k qantas points this year across 2 card applications / SUBs and 1 referral bonus.

      • What good cards are there?

      • And you didn't bother post those deals?

  • +2

I joined following the last deal. I have received $700 cashback total on this card. Each respective promo has been a 10% cashback, much like the current deal.

Very barebones card, but does what it says on the box.

  • Seriously slim pickings these days..

  • Same with saying Up to 10% cashback

  • Ah the Humm90 deal is back. Being waiting to get one for my overseas trip later this year.

Hope I'll have better luck this time. They rejected me last time but approved my partner within 1hr after submitted payslips.

  • +1

Applied and got an email that more information is required. Half an hour later got another email that application is approved and T&Cs sent. Then a few minutes later another email that application is withdrawn!

    • Wtf!

      • +3

Just received a third email that application is approved again. No idea what is going on!

  • Anyone knows if we can start using it straight away or need to wait for the physical card to arrive?

    • +1

Some people did added to their phones last time.

      • +1

Their website clearly mentioned that you need to wait for the physical card to arrive and activate. But can confirm that digital card is successfully added to my wallet and good to go. Opposite to what their help&support page says, but no complain

  • Anyone know if there’s an exclusion period for churners? Maybe I’m blind but didn’t see anything in the t&cs on the page

    • +1

I chatted with a representative via webchat, and they confirmed, ‘The offer includes those who are re-applying, see here.

  • +1

Check ANZ they have one where 220 cash back after spending 1500 in first 3 months plus 30/ year fee.

  • Anyone get the $100 cashback from the offer back in August? Never arrived for me.

    • I had to call them, then received the credit the next day

  • Signed up but no mention of the offer on my account that I can see, is there a way to check?

    • Few days after approved I got an email:

      Hi XXX,
Welcome to your new humm®90 Platinum Mastercard®. Your credit limit is $XX,000 - and you could earn $200 back when you spend $2,000 in your first 120 days. Plus, enjoy no monthly account fees for the first 12 months.^

  • Oddly I've been rejected too… I would've been fine income wise. Not sure if they flag any churners (that said, I've only applied for 2 in the past year). Will have to see if my partner try applying

    • -1

I've churned many times, good income and was accepted immediately earlier today. Already started spending via Google Wallet.

I think their acceptance criteria are probably impossible to fathom.

Did you let them access your bank statement?

  • Just signed up for this, got accepted and finished account creation. Should it say anywhere I'm on the 12 months fee free + $200 cashback promo?

  • Managed to sign up, no where does it say 12 months fee free or cashback.
Also managed to add digital card to my google pay through their app. Tried paying my council rates using bpay and it locked down my digital card. Just spoke to chat and said I need to wait for physical card to arrive and activate it first despite others successfully used their digital card upon signing up.

    • -1

I paid for a few things yesterday out of Google Wallet.

Managed to sign up, no where does it say 12 months fee free or cashback.

Mine prefilled the promo code early on in the application process.

    • no where does it say 12 months fee free or cashback

Normally they don't list promo in the application - applied virtually to most banks/credit card providers, not just Humm90. So you just need keep the screenshot of the promo page for proof later if needed.

  • Is this essentially $100 back after taking into account the annual fee? It says it charges this upon activation, unless there is some way of avoiding it?

    • That is for Customers who acquired their Credit card prior to 01/10/2024 according to the Key Facts Statement, All Customers after that date get a Monthly Fee only - which as apart of this deal should be nil for the next 12 months

  • Did anyone get to choose their credit limit?

    • -1

Yep, left it at 12.5k though.

    • You can choose it right after you submit your application. Min $1k credit limit.

  • instant approval

    • What information did you need to provide?

      • name, licence etc then login to your bank account through their platform and it locates your pay and you confirm its correct, then wait for credit check and thats it

        • +6

There is no way I'm breaching my bank's terms and conditions by giving Humm my bank account login details. Anyone who does that is a fool.

  • How do you pay off the card? Do you need to open a transaction account with them too?

I'm going through their terms and it says this:

"Payment Handling Fee: $0.95 Charged each time a payment is made via BPAY to pay
    your account."

    • For no charge, you can setup direct debit from within their app - enter your BSB/account/amount/date in their app to pay for your CC. It's annoying that have to repeat every time to pay.

Also, they said 3 business days to clear the payment but it took almost 5 business days to see the amount updated to the credit card balance.

  • Does anyone know how to add the card to a Google Wallet? When I try and view the card details from the app it says to double tap to reveal the security pin but it does nothing and when I click copy to copy the card number it just copies the last 4 digits and the rest are all xxxx.

    • In the app there is a button Add to G Pay below Change Pin

  • How long do they take to deliver the card, was approved on Sat and still waiting for the mail.

Tried the card details in the app but got declined when trying to pay online.

    • 1 week in my experience but I was able to use the card straight away after activating it first. There's a warning that says it's better to activate your card once it's arrived but it won't stop you.

      • how did you manage to activate the card wihout receiving the physical card? it's asking for CVV for card activation.

        • I think they are referring to adding it to Apple Pay/Google Pay. You can use it immediately.

    • Have you received the card yet? Was approved on 30/9 and still no card. Reached out the customer service and they won’t do anything until 14 working days. Super frustrating - we’re going to NZ on 25/10 and only signed up to the card for this trip re no international fees.

      • We applied two cards - both approved on 4th Oct.

One card arrived on 9th Oct, the other one is still nowhere to be seen.

How a card not arrive within 5 business day to Melbourne metro is beyond me.

        • Mine took exactly a week.

Oh and the stalker in here who is negging every (helpful) comment of mine in this thread, here's another for you. Enjoy.

          • @gadgetguy: Lmao either someone’s really pissed at you or just trolling

  • Finally got the card, took 2 weeks for delivery.

Anyone know how long they will credit the $200 from the time you meet the spending requirement?
