UPDATE
Apparently the words “Amex” and “Dispute” are pretty scary and they were able to refund me in full after being told it was “impossible”.
Still avoid these kants at all cost.

Hey everyone,
I know, lesson learnt - never book through a third-party travel agent. Unfortunately 19-year-old me thought if a site is listed on Skyscanner and Google Flights, it must be fine. Turns out, not so much.
Here’s what happened:
I booked what was advertised as a return MEL ⇄ SYD flight through Jettzy.
Immediately after payment, I was told there had been a “price error” and had to pay an extra $150 to secure the booking. I paid it.
After paying, I only received an itinerary for the return flight (SYD → MEL). The outbound flight (MEL → SYD) wasn’t ticketed.
Logging into their portal, I discovered my “return” booking was actually split into two separate one-ways (something I was never told upfront). The outbound was still marked as “being issued.”
After chasing support, I was told due to “another price error” the outbound was unavailable unless I paid an extra $190 per person (x3).
They said I could instead take a “full refund.”
Thinking I’d get my money back, I quickly booked new flights directly with Jetstar (outbound) and Qantas (return). But when I went back to Jettzy, they said they would only refund the outbound (~$600 of ~$1,300 total), since the return had already been ticketed.
So now I’m stuck with:
Jetstar outbound (non-refundable),
Qantas return (can only be refunded as travel credit),
and Jettzy’s Virgin return flight (apparently non-refundable).
There was definitely a big banner on their site saying “Flights 100% confirmed after payment.” Clearly that wasn’t true.
My Questions:
Has Jettzy completely screwed me here by failing to confirm the booking after I paid?
Should I take the partial refunds/credits and patch things together, or refuse and dispute the entire booking through Amex (my card provider)?
Am I right to argue under Australian Consumer Law that this should be a full refund, since what I bought (a return service) was never supplied in full?
