What sort of clown would neg a deal like this ?

        You'll see šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

Hey marsh, don't be so mellow

      • Funny thing is, someone not listening to Yobbo could've bought this twice over from the savings from not buying Yobbo's shit "good deals."

        • Someone who hasn't posted a single deal talking shit about actual deals posted. Oh the irony.

    • i’d bite if marsh approves it

he'll claim he can get this for 500 bucks on temu

Nice….A Video Card update would have been killer (Power Supply too). Looking to get a Card in 12gb or 16 gb for llm hosting. Wait continues…

    • is 12 or 16gb enough to host a LLM? I thought u needed one of those more expensive larger vram cards?

      • LLMs can be put in as little as 8GB of memory these days, but 16GB is a good minimum for LLMs.
Although a 90-class GPU is still the gold standard for AI and machine learning in general for hobbyists and consumers.

      • Larger is always better. Last i checked with 5070ti 16gb you could host some of it. General rule of thumb llm size should be half of VRAM
So general purpose - LLaMA 3 8B, Mistral 7B, Gemma 7B can easily be hosted.
i am looking for some coding focused so Code LLaMA 7B, Deepseek-Coder 6.7B, CodeGemma 7B can easily be hosted.

Bigger rigs give you breathing space, say you want to host 1 of general and 1 coding or 2-3 together and switch based on queries that wouldn't be possible on small rigs.

So you can host but have to be little more planning is required.
Like having a Electric car you need to know where to go which path to take and plan you journey :)

  • No chance Marsh will say this is a bad deal. This is an absolute steal for the price.

NO DEAL! I saw one the same one marketplace that came with like windows and a keyboard for $12 less.

Upgrade CPU to 5600 for +$49 seems worth it

  • +1

The 5500 is PCIE 3.0, and the 4060 Ti only has x8 lanes with a 128 bit memory bus, so it'll really feel the pinch of the memory bandwidth.

Still good value for price but the CPU upgrade to 5600 (PCIE 4.0) or the techfast 12400f would be an obvious upgrade

  • +1

    Any GPU upgrades possible?

  • SSD seems a bit lame…. 1TB on amazon for $83, this is $49 for an upgrade.

  • +2

Bad deal. Wouldn't touch this even though this is better than the other techfast bad deal of a 4060 for an incredibly shit price of $888 that techfast first tried to sell for a really dumb price of $999. The reference is an ~$900 for a 7500F/7700 + 9060 XT 8 GB desktop deal with an even better possible deal of the 16 GB version.

    • Pretty much what I was thinking, wasn't sure why people are so crazy about this deal.
