    These are great cameras

No idea what I would do with 4 of them though!

    • One in each corner of the house haha.

I'm looking at doing a setup with different cameras though and right now through their ebay store you get better deals than reolink store/amazon that expires tonight/tomorrow.

Also I heard bundle deal cameras has some features limited as opposed to buying stand-alone (?) could be wrong though

Nope, they are often all the same as if you can buy them individually.

        • I also recall seeing that some Reolink bundled camera's, while appearing to be the same as their individual component cameras; are somewhat different. Something about only being usable with the specific NVR and not transferrable to other NVR systems (kinda like purposely removing ONVIF or whatever). But that might be a thing of the past now.

            @itsTricky83: Nope that's incorrect.

@BlitzR: The information is very much correct in some instances.

It would be interesting to hear from the rep whether these are the full retail Trackmix cams, or whether they are gimped models lacking UID or SD-Cards as is the case with many of the Reolink combo kits.

            • @BlitzR: In fact it is kind of correct?!? Maybe I have been reading this incorrectly the whole time and it's simply their semantics to upsell their own NVR's. However, straight from their website, in the FAQS:

"What is the difference if I buy cameras and NVR separately instead of buying a whole system?

The cameras in the kit cannot work alone. They have to work with the Reolink PoE NVR. If you buy standalone cameras and the NVR separately, the cameras can work alone."

              • @itsTricky83: That's .misleading at best. It's saying they need POE. Whoever originally said there was an issue was correct, but related to specific low budget and now superceded models (E1's specifically).

These as stated in the "What's in the Box" will be TrackMix PoE's and if they're not you've got full right to return under ACL on top of 30day money back Reolink offers on all purchases.

The camera in the kit can and WILL work alone provided you give it power. Mine has both DC and Ethernet but is years older but these may only have Ethernet, and need a $20 injector or more for a switch.

                • @parad0x: Thanks for clarifying. Makes sense.

Kinda unrelated to the scenario, but I do happen to have 1 x ReoLink POE (Non-Kit) camera connected to my Unifi network which works via ONVIF; alongisde 5 other Unifi Cameras. Works a charm but obviously doesn't get all the features the Unifi's do.

  • Anything for one camera by itself?

$205 on Amazon or $208 ish with the 25% Code.

      • So $200 value for the NVR box based on the current camera unit price and this deal

        • Yes and normally they are about $350 just on their own for the NVR.

Check today and use 5% sitewide I just posted. Plenty on sale, 199 for these from memory?

  • Has anyone used the Hub/Hub pro?. I want to get the DVR with 2 track mix but I’m worried the DVR will be a bit much for my parents.

    • I got the hub and some wifi cameras. Setup is pretty easy. Had to reconfigure some cameras due to changes I wanted but it was all straightforward. I haven’t had any problems for 6 months. I’ve never used the dvr tho.

    • So long as you don't need 24/7 and only record events and you hone the trigger parameters, you can get good retention out of a couple cameras, but TrackMix counts x2 @ 4k don't forget.

Afaik there's no to change experience whether a hub or NVR is used as storage and the apps, mobile or PC, as access methods. The hub really is just an NVR without magnetic storage - an attempt I suspect to provide something which might compete with TP-Links hub recording capabilities (on top of the smart home features)

  • This or eufy s3pro?

    • Same query?

    • Thinking about the s4 actually.

From reading comments, eufy software is more mature.

"I have both and I hate the reolink cameras.

You get notifications, but no thumbnail. If you couch the notification you really are taken to a video of what triggered it. Ridiculous.

The eufy gives thumbnail notifications and when you click you get that video. " - off Reddit
