    • These don't say "reversible" but I always thought with this sort of ratchet that you just flip the thing over the other way rather than moving a switch like on the OP. Am I wrong?

      • Until you back your nut into a corner

      • You are correct. Reversible ones are nice with the angle (more comfortable in the hand), but sometimes there are really tight spots that a reversible ratchet spanner won't fit because of that angle. For that reason I prefer the non reversible ones.

Non-reversible set cheaper at Total Tools ($99):

    • I have a non-reversible set (different brand) but find the 15° offset and reverse switch more useful personally. Had random spanners but now have this set on the way. Brother has had this set for about 15 years and works like the day he bought it - and he used it as a mechanic for half that time. Have not seen this set at this price for a long time.

  • Thank you OP, purchased

  • Pity these are 12 points, much prefer the 6 points in most use case to reduce risk of rounding off the heads. The 12 points are better in confined spaces, but rarely needed.

    • You’re not meant to tighten or break a nut using a ratchet anyway, though I know people do it still.
