JB Hi-Fi Extras (Sep2025 on) Vs AppleCare?

Hey all

Looking at buying a new phone. JB Hifi Extras says it includes AppleCare services.

Can anyone confirm for me, is this AppleCare+ (same as I’d get paying $319 through the phone)? Any caveats I should know about?

I can get a discount on it if I get it with the phone (at JB), but want to make sure it is the same.

I'd just go with AppleCare if you need it TBH. Why go through a middleman for the same service. Also the other limitation is that JB doesn't do replacements or anything in-store. Your device needs to be sent away to be fixed, so you are without phone for that period, whereas Apple will replace or repair in-store.

So if you live near an Apple Store - go with the OG.

    I'd only buy AppleCare+ from Apple.
    
    Having SquareTrade only adds another (unnecessary) intermediary.
