Home Battery Deal in NSW

Hi, I’ve been seeing these ads for 40kw batteries at about $5299 installed on Instagram from Master Solar and a few others.

Are these deals legit, has anyone had one installed?

Or - can you recommend a good deal for a home battery 20-40kw?

Cheers

My recommendation is that you do your research. Don't buy cheap!
Many cheaper battery installations can give you a 40kw battery but a 5kw inverter - this would be like drinking water from a bucket but with a straw.
    My recommendation -
Tesla Powerwall 3 with or without expansion pack (recommended for Single Phase) - this would be my preference if I have money lying around.
Sigenergy (Less than tesla PW price but not by a huge margin - there is a lot of buzz around this brand and no brainer for a 3 phase install)

    • What wqs the one that discharge ev battery to power appliances? Wqs that good alsos?

      • Vehicle to load will be supported by Sigenergy. I could be wrong but only Ford lightening has been approved for the car battery to be used to power home and/or export to grid ( E.g. Amber, globird etc)

$6000 ish for my Fox ESS 10kw inverter KH10 Single Phase & EQ4800-L9 battery 41.93kWh is hands down the best value battery. Can still get that price in either VIC or QLD depending on your battery location & switchboard condition through my installer.

PW3 & SIG are going to take well over 10+ years ROI, might as well leave your money in the bank generating/reducing interest IMO. My FoxESS battery will turn a profit within 4.5 years

V2L is pointless when you can get a 42Kwh battery for 6k, you'll be paying 2k to get a generator input & change over switch to allow V2L.
Then you either have to charge your car during the day , and then use that at 3-9/at night. Or charge overnight on a lower tariff and then use the power during the peak period but doesn't make sense IMO.

I also own an EV so V2L in principal is good but imagine having to plug your car in, change it over in the switchboard. Change it back, unplug your car etc. then go turn back on all your computers, reset the clock on the microwave. Also 10kw inverter vs maybe 2.2-3.6kw on many cars lol so don't turn your kettle and toaster on at the same time

          • @Brick50: I think they meant V2G/V2H rather than V2L. Sig supports V2G (using the appropriate DC charger module) without any such switchover at the switchboard needed.

@noz: Just looked at the wholesale price and it’s $3643 inc gst for the 25kw DC charger that supports it

Can’t imagine any circumstance where you’d want to draw 25kw DC from your battery and pay 20k+ for the privilege

            • @noz: Yes thats the one noz, thanks for confirming

Solar Quotes website for education. Get multiple quotes for validation. Use common sense before acquisition.

    • Is that website still good even after origin tooking over it?
