Pretty insane deal after the upsized visa cashback of $500, comes to net $1651.20 paired with the S643W. Delivery was $59 for me, finally caved and replaced the old hisense.

      • Definitely will!

Yeah my delivery is tomorrow too. I did get the email from the good guys saying I’ll get the gift card from rewards@igopromotions.com.au shortly.

        • +1

Mine just arrived. Email title is: THE GOOD GUYS Bigger Screen Bonus - Claim Approved!

      • Mine just came through, after purchasing at 2pm

  • A bit confused. Is it possible to not get the sound bar for this deal and get a cheaper price? Very keen.

    • +2

You can get sound bar & gift card by using the price match button online.

If you have match the price using chat or on the phone then you will only get the gift card. As the sound bar is only on the ticked/advertised price. That was my experience. If you could sell the sound bar for $250 then you’re probably slightly better off pressing the price match button.

      • Thanks mate

  • is there a limit to how many gift cards you can use on online orders?

    • Just used 2 without issue if that helps

    • Can confirm the maximum is 3 (including 90day store cash).

  • bummer.. bought from GoodGuys couple of weeks ago. $700 cheaper if I had waited.

  • +1

Just pulled the trigger. Last night I noticed that it's a great deal but was worrying about the GC rejection. Thanks OP.

Was actually watching the 75C7K but at around $250 extra the C8K seems like a no brainer.

    • Got the gift card via email. Less than 2 hours after placing the order.

  • Ugh I just picked up this TV for 2000 a week ago…. Then this drops, what a deal to be had. Wonder if I can get jb hifi to refund me so I can buy it from good guys instead

  • +2

Thanks OP, got the 75C8K TV with the last SM634W instore for the original price you quoted and received my Digital Credit Card Bonus as well. Happy Days Cheers

  • Anyone have a good vesa mount they'd recommend?

  • +3

JB hifi has the same deal with the gift card

    • +1

Its JB cash not a Visa.

  • I was looking at the 75-inch Hisense U8QAU but a lot of comments her put me in the direction of the C8K.

Yet to go in-store to see the C8K but my TV location is very hard to set-up a sound bar, it won’t be my primary TV but I still would like the TV speakers to be decent.

Hisense U8 have pretty beefy speakers for a TV but then the comments on TGG website say the C8K TV is average, laggy and has bad speakers.

With how much praise this TV gets on here I’m finding that hard to believe, can anyone share some feedback on this TV and the on-board speakers, especially those who already have theirs?

    • Can't comment on the tv but 4 or 5 of those reviews seem to be the same person…

      • Thanks I was in a rush and didn’t notice.
rRatings compare the two TVs and seem to suggest they are on par but the TCL goes cheaper, has some better blacks but Hisense has some more vibrant colours, in the end they said go for teh one that’s cheaper.

  • +1

damn! i bought the c8k 85 tv for $2745 after price matching (beating) with JB and now 2 weeks later this. I am so angry at myself, I missed out on the $700 gift card and the soundbar, would have costed me couple of hundred nut the price different is more than $500

    • Does your credit card have price change protection?

Don't be too upset mate, can't always get the best price. I'm sure you will bag some great deals in future.

      • I don't have any price protection on my card, was a little too late to join the 28 degree club. Thanks mate, hope so too 😃

  • How is the TV ?

    • It is very good. Better than the big players out there. It’s bright even in bright rooms. Colours are vivid too. Highly recommended it.

  • Hey guys!

Has anyone got notification to pick up their click and collect in Victoria?

I’ve got the deal (C8K 75 + Subwoofer) the $500 Gift-card from the Good Guys too, but I really want to pick up the TV today 😂

I’ve noticed Essendon is no longer available with only Bayswater and Traralgon for pick up so I’m hoping this Geelong resident gets a notification from Essendon today 🤞🏻

    • Did you get any notification? I'm also waiting for click and collect from a different store

  • How does this screen technology compare to OLED ?

  • can you choose a delivery date with good guys and how far in advance they deliver

    • Yes, up to 3 weeks in advance.

  • +3

I got the C8K. I can tell you guys it’s the best. The brightness is so good even in dark ambience. Those of you who got it. Hope you’ll enjoy it. 😊

    • How’s the TV speakers in it (for a TV I know it won’t compare to a soundbar)?

      • Sound is good. It’s B&O but not as powerful as when you add a soundbar. It’s just that you’ve got to turn the column higher.

        • Thanks for the feedback, whats the column though?

          • @yacman: @yacman what do you mean by column?

            • @Schon: You said it in your original reply, maybe a typo?

”It’s just that you’ve got to turn the column higher”.

      • The speakers are good but where it falls short is the bass. Its a shame they don't have a subwoofer out on the TV itself. If it had that then i reckon a soundbar would not be required.

        • @sillyhead I agree.

          • @Schon: You can use the optical out for a subwoofer. You need an optical to rca converter.

  • Anyone still waiting on their visa gift card, I submitted the claim last night but haven’t received anything

    • Getting the Gift card was probably the easiest process I’ve had in a while tbh, took me about 20 minutes to receive it and out it in my Apple Wallet.

    • I submitted at 9:30am this morning and still waiting

      • Same.

      • +1

My only guess is that they don’t process it over weekends, so we might be waiting till early next week to see it.

        • I'm thinking the same. I'll update when it comes through

    • Any update on your visa card? I submitted mine on the 5th… still waiting

      • Not yet, I did mine on the 4th

TGG live chat rep was excellent, price beat Appliance Central C8K 75” ($2115) for $2000 + $59 delivery as I didn’t want the sound bar package.
Total cost $1559 after $500 gift card claim, which the rep said would is still eligible with the price beat.
85” is on back order so they can only price match Appliance Central ($2895 - $700 gift card, $2195)

JB wouldn’t do less than $2386 for the 75” + Q65h soundbar bundle. $1886 after the $500 gift card.

    • Can u inbox me the receipt plz. Probably i can get the same if they allow

      • I can’t DM you, send me one and I’ll respond with the order confirmation

    • Tried this but I did not get the same offer. My response was "I can price match AC but keep in mind you can't claim bonus offer giftcard with price match".

      • My chat rep said I could stack with bonus offer, price matched AC with delivery included.

        • Yeah I tried again, this time I got a different agent. He price matched AC $2115, and said the GC still valid.
I purchased and got the $500 GC claim in straightaway, fingers crossed theres no hassles/.

    • Can you share the recipe?

      • Send me a dm and I’ll share the order confirmation! (You have new dms off)

        • Hi Dan,
Many thanks, I have messaged you.

    • Hey Danchap, sent you a DM! Would be really nice if you could send me a copy of your receipt too. Thanks!

    • Excellent! Could you please send me your receipt? It would greatly help.

    • Could you please send me the receipt? I would really appreciate it, thanks.

  • Advice asap please - There are NONE of these in Victoria.

Geelong just confirmed that x61 orders are going to be waiting on the C8K 75 Inch models!!

I just got offered a Hisense U8Q for $2495 from the Geelong branch delivered.

I’m thinking of trying JB to price match? Thoughts.

    • JB price matched, ETA delivery was end of Oct at this point too. Good Guys ETA roughly 4 weeks also.

    • Ended up ordering with JB.

Delivery scheduled for tomorrow with the TV 🙌🏻

Soundbar at a later date but by the 27/10.

    • I was looking at the U8 before I was looking at the C8K any reason your not entertaining the Hisense as an option?

      • I have been using and recomending hisense TVs for the past decade or so. After using last years TCL C855 with google TV I won't touch another Hisense until they dump VIDAA.

If you are an andriod / google household it just fits and works and has cool things like using your google photo album of your dogs as a screensaver.

        • Is that the only reason though? I agree VIDAA isn’t great but a chrome cast will fix that pretty quick and run better than the TV processor in most cases.

  • +1

Made the jump (hopefully no Byers remorse on Black Friday sweats)
Chat wouldn't price beat Appliance central, only price match so just went with the bundle.

Ended up being $2,454.20 inc delivery, got 5% off $2k gift cards +$10 so $110 off, so $2,342.20 and had a left over $150 ShopBack card final total $2,192.20

Now just waiting for the $500 gift card which would take it down to $1,692.20

    • Did you get your gift card ?

      • not yet, I did lodge it and the email says it could take 7 business days, have to wait next week I guess

        • Hey mate, I'm still waiting for my cash back , now I'm worried. Have you received yours yet ?

  • +1

I ended up just going for the 7.1 soundbar as I figured if I'm going to get one, i might as well do it right (or sell it on marketplace)

TCL 85" C8K Premium QD Mini LED Google
TCL 7.1.4ch 860W Dolby Atmos Soundbar
    Delivery $59.00
    Order Total (GST Inc.) $3334.20
    - $700 gift card
    - $186.08 Shopback Plus 5%
    - $24 worth of NAB credit card points

    =$2424 Delivered

    • Did you already receive your gift card ?

      • Not yet but already did the claim form.

I assume they send it out once the order is dispatched.

    • +1

Cancelled and reordered as it hadn't been proccessed yet, 12% topcashback tracked at $446.61!

      • That’s awesome but are you sure?

Looking at the terms it says cash back ineligible on price beat, exclude delivery & GST.

Does that include using the price beat button to get the price down an extra $30ish plus delivery and GST is probably another $300, so to get 12% cash back should be less that $446.61 (I know you got the 85” and bigger soundbar so your price is a little differnt)

        • Yea it should be around $400, looks like it tracked at the price before the bundle discount so I expect it to adjust down.

          • @Kegsta: Does TCB say in your account yet how much has tracked or this is just your estimate?

I purchased yesterday from Harvey Norman (same deal with a $500 HN GC) but I price matched AC so I sacrificed the soundbar but with 12% CB I would get the soundbar and spend about $30 less than just the TV alone.

            • @yacman: I paid $3334.20 on my card
TCB tracked as Purchase Price $3,721.81 - $446.61 cashback.
Which is the price of the TV + Sound bar less GST before the 20% discount applied

              (3295 + 799) / 1.1

I expect it to be corrected before it pays out.

              • @Kegsta: some of my TopCashback (and shopback) re-adjusted to something very little to 0.00 after a few days on my orders before after initially tracking for a big value haha.

Fingers crossed you get your deal cause that's a killer of a deal overall!

I had to go through JB hifi for my deal as I used 2k worth of gift cards previously - so all they price matched appliance central (2115$ for 75")
Added on my $10 JB perks coupon

so $2105 + $500 JB gift card which i'll use later to buy a fridge.
the bundle deal they were offering was $2386 - however reading up on the Q65H - it's fairly average of a sound bar and I didn't want to pick it up for the sake of it.

      • Thanks for posting this, I also cancelled and reordered for $326.61 cashback.
Hopefully the gift card claim won't be an issue since we will be claiming for the same model twice.

  • Thanks OP this deal got me hook, line and sinker (finally).
Although I ended up just price matching the $2115 at JB's for a net price of $1615 for the 75c8k.

  • Thanks OP. Managed to score the S55H with the 75" C8K today. Just a touch over $2,250. Claimed GC tonight but haven't received it yet.

  • +1

Ok, so I pulled the trigger on the 75", here is what I did,

I contacted the GG support team over chat, shared the Appliance Central link: https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/75c8k-tcl-75-inch-premiu…, and requested a price match, which they agreed to, and the good thing is they included the delivery in the matched price $2056 + $59 = $2115

Customer support also confirmed that the GC would be claimable after the price match, submitting the claim, and receiving the email stating that the card would be sent within 7 days. I am currently waiting for that.

    • With soundbar as well?

      • No, just the TV.

    • +1

Played the same game. Though mine was $2115 for the TV and free $0 delivery. I had to try a different postcode / store in the chat as it seemed to make a differance in regards the rep I got. He also confirmed that the GC would be claimable after the price match. Have applied with the link and code and now waiting for the email. Hopefully its a public holiday thing as to why I don't have my $500 Chinions.

Anyway my TV got delivered this morning, its pretty darn good has alot of tape and massive big whole screen tape to remove. Its a really nice screen, pretty epic brighness and black levels. The inbuilt android seems smooth enough so far. I've been umming and arring about the upgrade for while and was waiting for the C7k to get back to $1500ish. For just over $100 bucks more the C8K seems worthwhile.

The sound its prettty good too, its probably better than my YAS108 soundbar so I just unplugged the YAS108. Its a shame these TVs dont have a subwoofer out otherwise soundbars would not be required.

      • Ordered! Procrastinated all day but finally bit the bullet using the $2115 price match. Happy with this as I think $1615 is an amazing price after gift card. Now to tell the missus I've purchased another Tv. Wish me luck

        • Oh jeez mate, same boat but I'm too scared lol.

      • Ah I had a YAS108 sound bar from my previous TV - if this TV has a better speaker system guess i'm using the sound bar with my spare older TV then

  • I've been looking at this TV since last years model, and this deal seemed too good to pass up. I've just finished setting up my 75" and coming from a mere 50" for the past 12 years, it's beautiful! I picked up the Q65H as well.

The one downside is the TV has a centre stand, which means the soundbar has to sit on the stand rather than the tv cabinet (unless your tv cabinet is 50cm deep, then you will be fine). The stand is slightly angled as well, but the angle is slight enough the the soundbar seems to balance there well enough so hopefully it won't cause any issues or slide off in the middle of the night. But overall it looks and sounds great.

I've put my claim in for the $500 but like others in the thread, it looks like it doesn't process over the weekend so I'm expecting it to come through tomorrow.

    • Have you had any luck with the gift card? I put my claim in on Sunday afternoon but haven't received any email so far.

      • +1

I received a thank you for registering your claim email, but no gift card yet. That email said to allow up to 7 days for the gift card

  • gift card was received when the order was ready for collection,
later on store rep unserved my TV without noticing me because changing to delivery and now its on back order.
store rep asked me if i'd like to cancel the order,
just wondering if i cancel, do i have to return the gift card, already spent

    • There is no such thing as a free lunch!

  • Hm what to do

Got store rept to price match Appliance Central for $2895 free delivery get my GC but $450 for the 599 sound bar debating hmmm

    • +1

you cannot get the bundle 20% off, if you want price match

      • That is what I was just about to ask. Did they confirm this?

        • Yeah they won't honour the 20% bundle but if I price match the rep was willing to do the $599 sound bar for $450.
Can keep or chuck it up on MP for like $350

        • yep. confirmed via email/chat.

ive decide against getting the soundbar.. with the money saved , id rather put that towards something id actually want.

tcl aint there yet with its soundbars

          • @Ineedadeal: Same, if you’re not using the soundbar I don’t think its worth the risk of getting stuck with it.

Otherwise, you could be selling it at a loss or very little profit for the headache of dealing with marketplace then having to meet up or ship to someone, is not worth the maybe extra $100 profit you might make in my opinion.

Remember if you don’t price match you are still paying an extra $279 for the soundbar (depending on what model you are going for), cheap if you want to use it but not cheap enough to make good profit if you want to on-sell it.
