Local passes are intended to get people into the parks to make them look active and busy. Revenue from food sales is a bonus.
Without it I assume an empty park's experience won't be as enticing.
It’s because you’ll have all the overseas travel agents buying them and exhausting the allocation.
you can also get cashback and also discount through groupon.
are you sure? This is a locals pass, Groupon is interstate
I bought 4 while I was in Brisbane last week. Paid like 370$ plus 24$ cashback through ShopBack.
But not available now on Groupon though
Mod: Deamworld? 😅
How do i get it through groupon ?
looks like interstate only there to me
Thank you'
I am torn between buying this for family of 4 (3yr + 5yr) for $400 and having ~45m drive to Dreamworld + white water world or ~$800 for Village Road Show and 30m trip to SeaWorld + 40m to Movie + wet n wild + others.
Did the 2 days Seaworld resort thing and Seaworld was pretty good for the kids, movie world is so lackluster these days couldn't even get a day out of it, spent half there half at wet n wild.
Leaning towards Village atm due to less driving and SeaWorld, haven't been to Dreamworld in over a decade but hear it is much better than Movie World now.Any internet strangers with some opinions?
I’d go Village if the budget stretches. SeaWorld is great for little kids and being closer makes the days less draining. Movie World’s a bit meh these days, yeah, but Wet’n’Wild usually soaks up a full day. Dreamworld has improved heaps, but with 3 and 5 year olds I think Village offers more variety without the longer drives.
I just finished a 12 month Dreamworld pass and would prefer the warner bros pass for same reason as Seaworld is close to home.
Dreamworld was good fun for my kids 5 & 7. They just opened the vintage cars again last year and has animals and lots of kids rides but more for over 120cm tall. They have pmenty of events during the year to make it fun.Was at Sea World yesterday: their 3 major rides all out of commission, but the little ones usually only have one out. Movieworld today: at least another 4 rides offline, so huge wait times on the others. There’s not that much for the little ones: maybe half a day.
Haven’t been to Dreamworld for a while so can’t really compareWe always thought the same about Movie World, especially for the little ones. We used to go to Paradise Country for 2-3 hours just next to Movie World .. animals, tractor ride, playground, pony ride, little show and then we'd head over to Movie World for a few hours for some rides and the parade. That + Sea World were our main visits for the roadshow pass, but it does sometimes go on sale so maybe wait for that?
Dreamworld seemed better than MovieWorld for younger kids. There's a lot of younger themed attractions rather than the bulk of Movieworld's bigger rides that are no good for kids.
15 mins of driving is nothing compared to a >3hr drive across to go visit like we did!
I will never understand why they lock these things away for locals only -from a business prespective just open it up to everyone
