Had this with newborn start of last year and it was amazing. Makes bottle feeding (the overnight ones especially) such a breeze! And cleaning and filling the machine is so easy. 100% worth it if you’re gonna do formula feeds with baby! It also makes a good boiled water for some coffee or hot chocolate if needed lol

Ditto, I would buy another if I ever had to again:

      • no need for pre prep formula feed
      • consistent and correct temperature bottles on demand within a few minutes
      • as above, but also makes it easy to make bottles quickly before going out
      • ability to press cancel during drip to get different volumes and bottle temperatures
      • internal light to quickly check if the water tank needs a quick refill and another for nighttime prep

As to comments for a dispensing machine, I would prefer this over it as I can alter the scoops depending on how light or heavy I want the formula to be and at this price there is no competition in the same range.

We got gifted this and it was next to useless for the effort and prep involved. Either go the whole hog and shell out for one of the all-in-one dispensing machines that mixes in the powder or just pre-prep and refrigerate a 1L jug.

it was $57 at chemist warehouse a few weeks ago… it's essentially a glorified kettle that can only dispense 120ml minimum.

    • LOL… why the 120 min..

but for some this could be really helpful… especially those without a temp controlled kettle & kitchen scale

      • It's not, its a minimum of 60ml of water at a ready to drink temperature for infants, with a charcoal (iirc) filter.

        • well, that's better

    • Also check out all the $20-30 ones getting flogged on fb marketplace.

  • 2 minutes??? i bought a Xiaomi digital kettle, put boiled water in it and set the temp to 40deg. When the baby cried, I would press the button, sit up, less than 30secs my water was ready to go. Bottle made in under 45 seconds.

When they got older and could drink 150+ml, i boiled a kettle and filled 3 flasks with it. Also took under 45 seconds to make a bottle. better to invest in a good digital kettle that you can still use after they grow out of formula

    • Can you provide the model you have? Any recommendations?

      • I bought the Xiaomi one, at the time it was $50 (2018 lol). But it's probably better now. I like it cos it's stainless steel inside but the outside part like doesn't burn you if you touch it

    • I don't think that is an accurate comparison.

Boiling water would still take longer than two minutes and the Tommee only needs to boil a small amount needed to dilute the formula.

Higher chance of selling the Tommee Tippee and recouping costs after usage.

It's a nice kettle but there is no definite 'better' investments when it comes to these two methods.

      • No, i put already boiled water into the kettle. So when I wake up, press the heat up button takes 20 seconds to heat up to 40deg. I am still using the kettle 3 years after bottles, not sure how much you think you can sell your used formula maker for but good luck. Also there have been many instances where formula makers have dispensed incorrect water quantities.

  • We have this but the water temperature feels too hot. Haven't used it because of this
