    Great, even though it says "for your first 3 months of audible" on the page it still worked for me as an existing, inactive member. Also didn't even receive the email, you can just go to the website and click on the ad for the deal.

      You probably unsubscribed from emails. I get emails all the time (inactive subs) and current offerings varying from Free credit aka 1 free month, to $0.99c a month for 3 months (this deal) to $8 off per month. I have three accounts and those are current to me as of today.

    Good deal but in my case I got sent to Audible Standard membership, not premium. So no credits for getting a book to continue listening to after cancelling membership.

        You only have access to the standard audiobooks while you have an active subscription.

          If requiring access during an active subscription is an issue for you (or you just want backups of the content you purchased), you can use a tool called Libation to extract the m4b (audio) files without Audible DRM and add those to Apple Books or similar to listen on your iOS or Android devices.

      If you like history, Sapiens: A Brief HIstory of Humankind by Yuval Harari (8hrs) is a great listen. Very ambitious scope, interesting and thought provoking content.

      In a similar vein but more science focused, Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything (19hrs).

      There are 3 books (9-13 hrs) by Richard Fidler. All are good and recommend The book of roads and kingdoms. Also available on BorrowBox, which is where I listened to them.

      I read and listened to Mindset by Carol Dweck and that was fantastic. It had a big impact on how I view myself and my understanding of how other people think and behave.

      I’m currently going through No More Mr Nice Guy and that’s really good too. I’m at Chapter 19 right now and it has been really valuable in improving my understanding of myself.

      Have you listened to the podcast Fall of Civilizations Podcast? Covers many ancient civilizations it's quite interesting although I haven't done a good job of remembering the details. The episodes are decently long although there's only 20 of them I would recommend it while driving as a freebie.

    I only got 99c for 3 months for audible standard, which means I have to remain a subscriber to access these next three titles. Sucks. Was waiting for another audible deal to get the next few Dave the vlVillager collections for the kids. We listen only on long drives with the whole family so we won't power through while them all in the next 3 months while the subscription is active.

      If requiring access during an active subscription is an issue for you (or you just want backups of the content you purchased), you can use a tool called Libation to extract the m4b (audio) files without Audible DRM and add those to Apple Books or similar to listen on your iOS or Android devices.

        Nice, thanks. Access via audible app while driving was convenient for integration with Waze but maybe the iOS podcast app will be similar. I'll give it a shot.
