Ninja Luxe Café Espresso Machine $665.79 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi Business (Membership Required)

The brand new Ninja Luxe Cafe Espresso Machine is now being sold as of today on the Australian market.

Ordered one today at this price (haven’t seen anything even close to this cheap yet for AU) and it was ready for C&C in 20 mins.

Went to the store and picked up hitch free.

Fantastic machine. Very easy to hone in the grind and the milk wand can be used in manual mode although I wasn’t disappointed by the automatic setting- it worked well. Very very good machine for this price.

$999 is RRP, but most retailers other than Ninja sell it for $799. JB Hi-Fi (public site) is offering $50 gift card with purchase of it through the main site at $799.

Finally. Took forever to get this to the Australian market.

    • Agreed! Been waiting for the day. Very happy with it.

I wonder if the built in tamper one will also arrive here

Yeah, I'm struggling to purchase an old model 'newly released' here when the US is already onto a newer model.

  • I have the Oracle from Breville, thinking of downgrading for ease of use for the family (reviews are amazing)

Yes i go from a dual boiler to a single one, but is anyone in the same boat, has made the downgrade or not?

may get enough for the oracle on FB Market place to make this a $0 change over

    • I always thought I’d never go for a single boiler but have found it’s pretty good and doesn’t take too long that the espresso goes cold / crema separates

    • +3

i have the bes881 with the auto milk and tamp sensor lever thingy

i cant go back to any other machine because the ability to set and forget has become second nature

basically 1 press to grind and press to froth. you can zone out or do other stuff and do a quick tamp whilst not worrying about milk getting burnt etc

the thermojet technology, regardless of how people feel about it means 3 second heat up for shots and milk. 2 coffees back to back zero issues

when i went back to my mums to visit and used her dual boiler. in the time it takes to heat up i wouldve already smashed out 2 coffees on mine

and i accidentally burnt the milk as i got too comfortable waiting for the frothing to auto sense temperature and stop itself.

the only advantage of a dual boiler is if youre having a party and 4+ people want a coffee, then you can smash out drinks and milk at the same time, but there are cheaper solutions for that like a separate frother jug.

so if you have an oracle, only consider downgrading for speed, hands off and compactness and you dont need to smash out many coffees at once for many people at once

the beauty is that recently its been tested that the 54mm baskets produce the same/better shots than 58mm "pro" ones. nobody knows/explains why the pro versions use 58. other than legacy/snob reasons. But 54mm ended up being more accessible, cheaper and better. Which was my only concern using the smaller machines until i found this out

the new oracle is like $5k and just over the top and imo is just wank factor. the premium upper midrange of the jet series are so fast and convenient and take up less space. however expensive but you get what you pay for. i wish i could afford the 1 level up to mine. but i personally upgraded from a barista express which i used for 6 years with no issues until the pump died and was easily replaced. My only issue with it was the frothing heat up time took too long to the point i didnt want to use it. only used it to grind and pull shots

with the 881 its only a 3 second wait time, so no material advantage having a dual boiler when only making 1 to 2 coffees, the semi automation lets you queue up tasks
      i.e. the workflow is bascially:

start grind and milk at the same time. Make sure its double milk if doing 2 coffees, When the milk is done, clean the wand and let it auto purge, at the same time, tamp and pull shot.
make your first drink, its basically done after 2 steps since you can do two tasks simultaneously
You then grind second shot. and since you did double milk earlier. second coffee is done the moment second shot is pulled

my only issue is the lcd touchscreen is a bit slow, but not a deal breaker. not worth spending another $1k to upgrade to the oracle jet

looking at this ninja, it just sounds like like a the older breville barista express without the thermojet technology. With breville you can easily find aftermarket accessories too keep in mind

so without the the thermojet technology the biggest downside is slow heatup and wait times between shot and milk frothing. thats going to drive an oracle user a bit crazy imo. Irregardless of its other pros

    • How is your Oracle? I heard they are not very reliable and expensive in repairs?

      • My mums got the older oracle non touch for coming to 7yrs now. Been in for one repair because steam wand snapped.

Currently having some pressure issues where steam wand isn't building enough pressure but still works 95% well, other 5% is if you don't let it build up steam pressure it doesn't do very silky milk.

All in all pretty solid in my eyes.

First three years it was used to pump 5-6 coffees in a row in the morning, then a few more through the day. Later years half the amount but never really skipped a beat outside of the one minor niggle.

Will take it in for servicing though just to make sure it remains operable for hopefully another three years.

I got myself a barista pro as I wanted to do the manual work in coffee making as it felt relaxing making a brew in the morning, just a bit messier which annoys me

  • I did read there is a fair bit of issue with this.

They have brought out the pro series that has fixed the issue.

Unsure when that will be coming to Australia.

Depending on which market posts you read, the quality seems to be a big hit or miss where it works well for some and others it falls apart really fast given it has a lot of electronics and deals with water and steam.

I never really had many issues with ninja appliances but they're all on the cheaper end so I never really had much expectations.

Hopefully these ones are built solid and disrupts the breville and delongi range since they're going absurd with their pricing

    • I’d definitely say this

Easy to hone in the grind and the features such as filter coffee, cold brew, cold press, cold foam etc makes it pretty impressive. I’m loving mine.

Also, the Ninja uses weight based dosing instead of time based like other home machines

  • Has the price went up to $690.01 ?
Getting this price if access JB HiFi Business via Westpac account rewards page.

    • Seeing the same price as you.

Does anyone know if the everyday price is $799?
I've seen it listed on Harvey Norman and Ninjas own site for RRP $999 but no one is actually showing a $200-off ticket.

Unsure if I should pull the trigger now, or wait for a 30-50% off 799 deal.
