      Abu Garcia Baitcaster $80 For Murray cod and golden perch from a boat/kayak. Just lock up the drag for cod. My local store had some of the Jackall and Berkley swimbaits on clearance at half-price. They're not on clearance online though. Redfin and carp colours are recommended. You can always go your #1 StumpJumper for cod and #3 for goldens. There's a reason StumpJumpers have been around for 50 years.

      Salmon or tailor lures from the beach, or bonito from the rocks. Daiwa OT 40-60g $9.30 - 10.19 and TT Hard Core 40-60g $8.54-9.49
      Blue-runner lures - Jackall Cian and 145mm Ocea Bettyu were half-price on clearance where I am.

      Good $100 bream rod if you can find it anywhere.

      Amazon Japan advice:
      For surf/rock lure fishing keep an eye on the Penn Slammer IV 6500 HS spin reel this week for $250-270. Also 300m of Varivas braid for $40-50, or the cheaper but good quality Duel Hardcore Super X8. Think I paid $35 for 300m of the Duel PE4.
