@Snoots: I got burnt by mcafee before where it didn't detect a trojan horse. Lost data! Never again. I use kaspersky or biydefender
People still pay for anti virus in 2025? Wild.
It is not just a simple anti virus. They have additional features, or they are easy to use compared to default ones in Windows. Most may not need it but some may.
Because most of these AV have additional features that Windows Defender doesn't have for eg. VPN, Encrypted Folders, File Shredders. Sure you can get those features through individual programs but some people would rather have it as an all in one protection package. Also AV companies biggest customers are enterprises, not really average Joe.

Just did this deal - note a few things:
After Amazon log-in, it says unavailable if your address is set to Australia. You need to select a new delivery address to one in India. Get a random Indian address - i used browserstack.com
For the payment method, I was offered AUD with a crappy conversion rate, or INR. I chose INR which ended up cheaper with my bank's conversion rate.
The code took about 30 mins to deliver by email.
You need a VPN to India to activate. The code is geo locked to India. After activation, it was fine and no VPN required.

Thanks - up and running on my Pixel 7. Can't be too careful these days with zero click malware. Bitdefender may not be always effective against such threats but hopefully the product evolve with it.
Anyone knows if the included firewall in the Total Security package works for MacOS?
as far as I know Mac Version doesn't have firewall capability , after install you'll see it as inactive firewall.
