McAfee is the best AV going forward. I fully expect some John McAfee comments, just like Peter Norton.
Fully expected negative comments or votes. McAfee works for me. Very simple UI though.

No Nag popups once purchased. Being using it on my Laptop for about 6 months. Running ESET on main desktop, and may switch to McAfee once sub expires.

People still pay for anti virus in 2025? Wild.
It is not just a simple anti virus. They have additional features, or they are easy to use compared to default ones in Windows. Most may not need it but some may.
Because most of these AV have additional features that Windows Defender doesn't have for eg. VPN, Encrypted Folders, File Shredders. Sure you can get those features through individual programs but some people would rather have it as an all in one protection package. Also AV companies biggest customers are enterprises, not really average Joe.
