TCL 75" C655 Wi-Fi Keeps Dropping (But Does Not)

Been using a TCL 75" C655 for a few months, and noticed lately that every few minutes it will flash that the Wi-Fi has disconnected (but it actually doesn’t) and then it’ll reconnect

I’ve tried forgetting the connection, and also power cycling. I’ve also turned off the There’s no new system updates and am yet to try a factory reset

I did switch from Google Wi-Fi to a TP-Link system, but no other devices have been having issues besides the TV

I haven't tried connecting via Ethernet

Anyone else?

Ring up warranty /service department when you can , sorry I can't help anymore.

  • Are you saying you had the same issue on both the Google Wi-Fi and the TP-Link? Do you have both a 5ghz and a 2.4ghz wifi connection you can try. Sometimes I find I have to use the 2.4ghz for some devices. Also do you have any other wifi devices around? Wifi speakers or similar that could be interfering?

    • No, didn’t have the issue when I was Google wifi. But you can’t split 2.4/5ghz on that, so I don’t think that’s the issue. The only other wifi device around it is the Nintendo Switch

  • Had a similar issue with a Sony Android TV .
Updated android TV core services and disabled scanning always available and the message disappeared.

    • I’ve turned off the always scanning, and also the quick start (which I’ve read can cause issues)
