GZ System Suspicious Charge? PureVPN

Hi, I just noticed a payment of USD 38.79 was sent to GZ System this early morning via PayPal. This company is the owner of PureVPN, which I purchased a 5years pls last august.

I’m wondering if anyone has similar experiences? I will contact them, but meanwhile is it possible to retrieve the payment with PayPal?

Thanks

PS,
I received a Welcome email around the same time (4:39am). Obviously they messed it up and charged me again as a New account.

I'd send them a email and if they don't respond within 7 days do a dispute with PayPal and you can get your money back that way. I guarantee PayPal will ask if you have spoken to the vendor. They can't just reverse the payment.

To stop this type of thing from happening in future, you should disable automatic payments for merchants that you do not use very often.

    • Some people have auto payments they agreed too and never new, as they didn't read the fine print at checkout.
I remember cashback sites also say if you disable the auto payment before the cashback qualifying period the cashback will be declined. I think they're hoping people will forget in 3 months that they have an active auto payment.

  • Was this from a cashback deal? If it was, I hate to tell but I told you so. If people were not so blinded by the so called 'free money' they would actually think twice. Why you would give your PayPal details or credit card details to a shady vpn company that NO ONE recommends, who has sold out users before and is located in God knows where anyone's guess is.

  • Reminds me of a gym membership. They will have you sign up, then you forget, next thing you know you're stuck paying $50 per month for 12 months.

Now I sign up using Revolut for all these deals and freeze my cards that way they can't take anything from my cards.
