  • Great price. I would love to go back to Prague and see more of Eastern Europe. Although not too far east lol.

    • Yeah, Eastern Europe is amazing, although I'd rate Budapest above Prague especially in recent years.

        Because of the government?

15 hr overnight in Istanbul. Not so bad. See Hagia Sofia, have dinner, get a hotel, save $600.

      • That’s fair

Just to note it’s a 1 hour trip into Istanbul via public transport

        I think a taxi is 45 mins

        • Thanks for the warning. Was so long ago, I forgot. I still have this nice fez though.

          • @bargaino: I don’t remember your name but your fez…is familiar…

    • We had 2 free nights in Istanbul using the TA promotion. 5 star hotel included. We'd go back in a flash. TA are really good as well. Business class upgrade was also at a great price. Highly recommended.

  • Clicking the perth link above only shows Air asia and Airarabia flights, not Turkish/Qantas?

Edit: clicking through the airasia option shows that its a total 17h worth of 2x air asia flights and a 2h turkish flight each way :D

I've never got old mates website to work whenever he posts a deal. Singapore airlines $700 return to somewhere usually just ends up being one of the China Airlines taking 40 hours via somewhere else.

        really should be unobtainable deal

      • Sadly the same!

      • you can use the filters to choose the airline. By default it just shows the cheapest.

Prices also do sell out often on the example dates I choose, so sometimes you have to try dates around then. One of the reasons my blog posts tend to be LONG now - loads of example dates.

Finally, if using Chrome, there's a bug where sometimes the search gets stuck and never shows new results. Works fine in Firefox. Clearing cookies/going incognito seems to fix it.

Apologies, doing my best, but all prices are always there at the time I post it - but they fluctuate a lot! The nature of airlines :/

        • It's all good bro. I appreciate it and check the website when it pops up, one day I'll get lucky.

Reasonable, but hard to beat Qatar to many European destinations for less than the $1499 example above - snapped up $1220 the other day into Milan - free onboard WiFi and most of all no need to waste time and money with Australian domestic travelling south to SYD/MEL in order to fly north to the other hemisphere (invariably involving Jetstar to minimise this wasted cost).
No doubt good for those living in SYD/MEL - but the higher BNE costing with domestic as well? Hard pass.
    Keep them deals coming, thanks.

  • Any deals to turkey ex Sydney?

4 stops and 46 hours from Perth to Prague…

  • pass on Turkish airlines

    • Rated 5th best in the world on skytrax?

I've only flown them once from IST to London and was very pleasantly surprised, as I wasn't expecting much. Really good.
