A really good budget PoE IP camera. RLC-1224A is not bad, imagine the upgraded CX820 is only better.

Duo 2V
Get the one with built in flashlight. It wasnt available when I bought it and sitting on the fence whether to upgarde.
Not sure which would have the better camera functions, though. I already have a solar light in that spot for night use.
They are the same thing, just different light (white LED vs yellow spotlight, well price too).
I have a mix of the dome, bullet and 180 degree ones. Function wise, pretty much the same, but bullets are not good if pointing near the wall as the IR and LED lights are very bright and will cause flare bouncing off the wall.
A mix of dome and duo will be good.
But there is a new dome tempered proof one with 120 degree view, which is new and has its use case.

4K IK10 Vandal-Proof PoE Camera with Color Night Vision
I haven't had any camera. Can the one with flashlight be used to replace an existing floodlight?

No idea how it compares to the standalone floodlight, but has the benefit of PoE and not needing a sparky.
Looks like comparable to this http://bunnings.com.au/arlec-twin-head-hardwired-floodlight-…

If you can wait until November, the 11.11 Aliexpress sale should have them
Swapped a 1224a to a CX820 a few days ago, front of house location.
Very impressed with it thus far.
I got it for 148.18 last week.
Night vision?
Our neighbour's Hikvision produces some decent night colour vision.
Keen to hear more, as I have the 1224a as well. Daylight footage is great, but its pretty average footage at night using only IR. Do you find the cx820 better at night?
I'm looking for something with good low light performance and a motion spotlight to put it in front of our front door.
Does this have it like the 1224A? Or any other PoE models that's suitable?
If you use the code FRED85 (or code RSIG2025 or code LEOPARDGECKOTALK or code 25FPD5OFF) and order two ($307.99) the price comes down to $292.59
Works out to $146.30 each
If I find a better code (that works) I'll post itDoes anyone know if this CX820 works with my existing Foscam NVR?
48 degrees vertical FOV is rather disappointing.
This was $147.99 on the 25th of September.
I've been following the prices for a while, and since watching, there has only been a higher price, at $157.99 in early August.
I guess how hard people want to penny-pinch is another matter.
I'm looking to get one myself soon.
Also been following the Duo 2V, and it also jumps around, although, again, usually in a band covered by a tenner.
