  Pardon my ignorance but what purpose does an air purifier serve? Is it dust or smells? Does it actually have a noticeable effect on an already clean home?

    Both I think… Keeping near the kitchen has a noticeable effect on reduceing cooking odours.

    I also do notice slightly less dust in the bedroom with a purifier running.

    But the most important thing is for clearing up the smoky smell on planned burn days.

    It does have a noticeable difference especially if you have medical conditions like asthma or allergies.

    Like arch113 said, helps with cooking like steak on cast iron to just shorten the time the smell lingers at home even with exhaust on full blast and sliding doors open.

    If you are not bothered by day to day air condition, you probably don't need it.
