  • you can get the 3 pack at Bunnings for $484.57 any day…

    • +1

Isn't that for the non pro version?

      • +1

just checked, you are right! Sorry about that :-)

  • Anyone that has the pro version… can you recommend? I have 3 m5s looking to upgrade

    • +1

Very worth upgrading over the m5, I have 2x xe75 pro and 1x xe75, I don't think its worth going for one or the other, whichever has the cheapest deal at the time I would say would be best. They're they same minus the 2.5gbps port on the pro? Fantastic performance since I got them a year ago, just carefully consider placement based on your home and consider things like wall thickness, and distance between each deco and you'll get great perf

    • I went from m9 pluses to these. Way better, generally getting 750mbit instead of 300ish

      • Do you have them connected via wired backhaul
        Or wireless?

        • Both. The wired ones get full 950-990mbit

    • I have the pro version. Works like a charm. Although I paid $489 last month for the 2 pack version.

  • Is that the Pro with 2.5Gbps port?

Non-pro with 3x1Gbps is about $50 cheaper again than Bunnings @Good Guys Commercial.

Amazon is also one day shipping.

    • Yes, the pro comes with 2.5Gbps and a dedicated 6ghz stream dedicated to inter mesh communication if needed.

  • Lots of reports of the Pro being less reliable than the standard version. If the 2.5Gbps port isn't a big deal you can get a 3 pack on GG Commercial for $444.

    • Think it went up in price to $445 (last time I checked).. inflation really killing us

    • Interesting - I am reading the opposite! Especially wrt the LAN ports failing. shrug

  • I was very certain that I'll be getting these when there is sale such as this but now reading some mixed reviews here. I can't set it up via network backhaul so they'll be all wireless. Should I pull the trigger? I'm coming from google nest wifi 2.

    • Yes, I have 2 of these in a 200m2 concrete house and both the routers are on opposite ends of the house. It maxes out at 500mbps on wifi. I'm sure if I add another one in between it will get better. However, devices connected to the same router can transfer easily at 2gbps

      • Is only one connected directly to your NTD and the other picks up via wifi. Or what’s your set up?

        • +1

          yup as you said

      • Alright pulled the trigger on 3 pack, hope it goes well!

  • Is it better than amazon eero 7 3packs? Eero has 20% cashback and using wifi 7.

    • +1

And is that better than the Mercusys BE36009? It's also a Wifi 7 system that looks like it's got some decent speeds

      • +1

Dual band only for this, compared to tri-band in this post.

Interested in real world feedback as well, but have seen many threads indicating that 6GHz can be give speed/performance boost compared to congested 5 & 2.4GHz bandwidth.

        • Yeah I am trying to work out if I'm better off with Wifi7 dual or Wifi 6e with 6gz

  • +1

Pulled the trigger on the 3 pack. Been waiting for a price drop and coincidently I upgrade my connection to 1000/100 tomorrow :D

Varying reports of problems but they seem sporadic and several of them relate to incompatibility of differing mesh systems so not too worried. The non-pro version in particularly has a slightly worrying history of LAN port failure BUT much less so on the pro version from what I read and a 3 year warranty so shrug.

    Fingers crossed!

  • i have the non-pro 3 pack and its quite good. I did find the Google Wifi had better handoff between the units than the Deco's though
