You need an Amazon JP account and Amazon AU doesn't transfer and hence Prime isn't applicable for Amazon AU holders.

No, due to the higher population density JP routers have lower limits similar to that of EU devices.
US routers have similar limits to that of AU.
No, the Japanese version of TP transmission power and bandwidth are not as good as the Australian version, and it is a hardware problem that cannot be solved by flashing the firmware.
